If you find yourself, on this Thursday morning struggling to understand if "Lelo Cafe" is a name of some coffee shop in Diepsloot and you think the mention of the word "BEEF" means theres a chisanyama somewhere... or maybe you keep seeing this "VS" word and ufunukwazi if the World Cup is back... Relax... make a stop here and lets make random comments about this and that.
You know, I never understand why people dont talk much about Muvhango. The poor soapie/drama/ venda documentary iyazama shem, these days. They cast the best people - they make sure they have aboPhila naboZuluboy in the mix.
Now they are trying as much as possble to throw in a few hott faces - Ranthumeng is dominating the screen (in his arrogance) and those Xhosa-speaking guys who seem to have come with Vuyiswa. But still people dont talk enough about this soapie.
Im really sorry that I call him arrogant, yazi..It's just that he has this one comment that he made during the Dorp2Dorp thing that just turned me totally off. They were in Bloemfontein nhe...and he says: "I'm very excited...these are my people, they came to see me". My jaw just dropped.
The pink jacket - kwek!
Muvhango is even bringing Pheko back as well coz they learnt something with what Generubbish did with the Tau character - they saw the nation making noise so they thought - let's add some spice. But I'm not sure if people just prefer to watch and keep quite or what.
Okay.. i've always been honest when it comes to what I feel about this man...(mhh!
I am opening this platform for bloggers to say what they think of Muvhango. Do you think they have moved from out the gutter and they are now "in with the times"?
Shem, they are doing their best to include all sorts of languages - they are tired of being only in Limpopo and they want to join the rest of the country.
Do you watch Muvhango now, more that you did when it was still more about Bhafuwi than anything else.
And the Thandaza-Pheko-Ranthu love triangle?
Eeny Meeny, Miny, Moe..
Do you think it's a good thing they have expanded their storylines to be more than just family feuds?
What do you think still needs to change? Shem, uBhafuwi has agreed to appear on TV - it doesnt get any relevant than that.
Nna I don't really follow the story. I watch here and there and what I have seen is impressive. I'm just not sure if they are not doing too much change all too quick.
What about losing their mostly village-based viewers who liked it as conservative as it was before the arrival of new blood?
LOL
