Morning addicts.... Yhoooo, I tuned in while getting ready for work around 6, NGO Queen was preaching and shouitng, you'd swear stepford was a guest on the show cause NGO was hogging the mike, control thingy, everything - including all the talking. GIrl looked bored to death and tired!!! And NGO was on her element talking about poverty and preaching about how people should have faith! She makes good points, she just needs to calm down and stop shouting!

The Barnmates were awake and bustling way before their Task was due to begin, so when Biggie made the announcement that the Task was due to start soon, the Barnmates didn't show an ounce of stress.

The Barnmates just began their weekly Task presentation. This presentation would last longer than the Task presentations that they're used to. They have to keep a Radio station live for eight hours. The Barnmates were given an entire week to prepare DJ personas, adverts, shows, and jingles.

The Task began with Hannington taking the lead. The opening jingle from Barn FM came complete with chickens clucking. Tatiana and Lerato were right by Hannington's side when Barn FM went live. Hannington began his show with a memorable moment of silence, a first for radio worldwide.

Hannington's went as his DJ alias - "The Cock"; while Lerato went as "The Hen".

Lerato gave an inspirational artist review of Sammi's album. Sammi was a previous All Stars Barnmate who left Big Brother because of health reasons. Lerato was extremely humourous.

Hi!!!! Public holiday, so I'm at home, not the bush. But the radio thing is killing my good vibes. Last night I tried to watch for a full 5 seconds and The-One- with-Two Stamzas-One-Tooth-Too-Many aka NGO Queen were gaaning on and on trying to lobby or whatever a Minister played Lamethetic. I don't like watching 'Kak' attempts at false self promotion on my TV so I switched over. Someone needs to tell the NGO Queen you don't need 5 seconds of Z-celebrity status to work for an NGO. I am a living testimony.

I will see if I can catch the diary sessions.

I got the shock of my life when my mom in law called to ask me how does she vote for Mda she coz she really hates Pathetic adn she wants him out...Yoh.

Morning uhdikts

I had a privilege of watching DJ Maku and DJ Tinani last nite. As much as DJ Tinani is loud, he made his show interesting. I think it was good that he co hosted the show with DJ Maku as Tinana was hopeless in reading their news and presenting sports. However, you can tell that he has had exposure to radio before.

Breakfast shows
I watched both, Sheyla's and The BURN shows. Sheyla is good, relaxed and I felt like I was watching the real thing. The topics that were introduced and engaging her co host who I will YAWN if you ask me to talk about him.

The BURN radio station, did not move me except Sammy B's review. Lolo is just ok, Smelly - another YAWN.

Heyy Uhdikts... am still on strike!!

I left home with a headache when I tried to listen to the Psaloma show!!! the gidiot would not even let the mucic play... she'd start a song and start preaching like WTF!!!! a morning show!!! Even Radio Pulpit is not that hectic!!

Ok, lemmme rewind some. I cud not keep my eyes open a lot last nite. Wanna see how the graveyard session/ nite shows went. Psaloma really killed my watching appetite earlier on. Uti same and thnakfully he had Sheila to work with. The B/mates are doing a decent job Lolo and Smelly held my attention for a while but then they lost me @ sum point.

Diary Session: Crayzee

Entered the diary room, semi naked with only a towel protecting his sensitive parts.

He is feeling good. Had naps in between, nice time in the Jacuzzi. Still waiting for another programme with Preacherman. Then it will be the last program; then the results from Ntsoaki.

Did not learn anything about his fellow refailures that is standing out. KissKiss is not very strict as station manager. Then he brabbled about how managing is something that you have to do get things to run smoothly, step on people or something like. But that is not something that KissKiss is doing naturally as a person. I guess he was trying to say that the results will reveal how successful KissKiss management style was.

He does not think that topics arised which would not have come up if it was not for this task. Cause they do not get information from outside, they have exhausted most topics already. (My remix cause I am not good with Craze language talk.)

He concluded the session by requesting clippers, stating that ‘guys’, in this day and age, have a right to groom themselves. They want the clippers, the ones owned by GQ DHC, so that they can shave and be presentable, every day since it is a TV show. Just like women have the ‘natural right’ to groom themselves so, they, as men, should also have the same.

Ntsoaki replied that there is a reason why the clippers are not allowed in the house but she will allow the clippers in the house for an hour or two and there after it must be returned. Apparently the electricity interferes with the sound and the sound broadcast. Or something like that.

Reaction: A clean shaven Crayzee and GQ DHC. Me, I am salivating like a thirsty dog.

Diary Session: GQ DHC

I guess DHC was asleep when he was summonsed cause he entered the diary room with dreads covered under stockings. (Thought this was a housewife thing… but then it just confirming my closet suspicions).

DHC is exhausted because he did not sleep well because he had to wake up in between for the ‘radio thing’.

Did not really learn anything new about his fellow refailures. But everyone has been doing a great job about being presenters. Which is surprising to him; he thinks it is because they had been to so many interviews.

He did not think any other topic came up as a result of the task, except for swinging. But he does not think that the task can be taken seriously because they come up with some many different characters when they are doing tasks to keep the tasks ‘jumping’ (note: his word not mine, so me, I don’t know what jumping might mean in this context.)

DHC is of the opinion that everybody wants a bit of control and some people are taking things too seriously, He started off with a sentence about KissKiss but did not finish it, I guess he wanted to hint that KissKiss wants to be in control. (My Bitch Assumption!)

His family is on his mind before he goes to bed and when he wakes up. Sunday is on his mind because he can wait to see who the Triplets (Die Lyf, Feel Me and Touch Me) put up because she/they have been unpredictable; would like to hear her reason why she made the switch. It would also make it clear where the lines are being drawn, it would show if there is any biasness.

Also, Lamethetic (Munya) has been up so many times, he personally would have switched him just to show, act, as if there is no bias except when someone like Pep Les (Sheila) would be up. Then of course he would n switch her. (He was trying to say that if Die Lyf aka Jen saved Kiss Kiss, then he would know where her loyalties are at).

He wanted to know about the playlist, whether he should stick to the specific playlist or whether he can ‘borrow’ from other playlists. Ntsoaki told him to discuss with his fellow refailures.

DHC wants more fun in the house ask if Ntsoaki can bring in karaoke machine, hubbly bubbly, movie or something. (Reaction: Please Please no movie or karaoke machine!)

The boy told Ntsoaki that the question ‘What is on your mind’, is very broad and she should ask specific questions.

He is missing his family, friends, TV (especially ‘Series Channel’ – watches Series all the time, Cartoons and Music Channels), his few entertainment jobs, his laptop, miss the weekends. Ok and get this: HE IS MISSING GOING TO THE BAR WITH HIS BOYS ESPECIALLY WHEN THERE IS A PREMIER LEAGUE GAME EVEN THOUGH HE IS INTO THE GAME BUT JUST HAVING ALL OF THEM TOGETHER. And he is missing his Blackberry.

He is also missing eating out, especially African meals. AND HE IS MISSING HIS COCKTAILS (LONG ISLANDS AND MOJIOTOS). (REACTION: I AM NOT MAKING THIS ISH UP! Ok? I am hearing the sound of melting glass!)

About the task, he is enjoying listening to the “Brunch”. He said: She is not someone you should take literally because you would get lost in misconceptions about her. She is very free and playful. You can always get an honest opinion about her. (REACTION: No idea who he was referring to cause I am not into the Radio show task!)
And he was saying Die Lyf (Jen) is cool but she has that short fuse thing going on. One moment she is fine and then the next moment she is angry. And he would go: Ok, ISSUES! Anger is not sexy, regardless what anyone is saying. Anger is<

Diary Session: NGO Queen aka Barney

Barney is OK; she had to get up very early for her radio shift. She loves her show and she just hope that people got to see it because it was so early. Her show is about inspiring people, having a great day because it is a new day.

She learned a lot about her fellow refailures because they are so talented and she thinks they are just a lot of inspiring people who are waiting to explode.

Lamethetic, Preacherman and KissKiss have really been outstanding, was her favorite shows. She also liked Pep Les’ show in the morning.

Her favorite show was the one where Lamethetic dressed up as Zim Minister.

All housemates are doing fine. It has been hard, but it is OK. She went on and about Radio DJ’s and shows (Reaction: truth be told, I tuned out. I am biased. I can’t stand this person).

The housemates are getting along. But if there are any arguments, she will tell Ntsoaki on Monday if she is still there on Monday.

She thanked Ntsoaki for the dentists and the water. And then she requested the ‘belts’ for her dresses. If Ntsoaki can get that from her luggage.

She ended the show with a shout out to her Mom, telling her Mom that she was ‘on air’ at 05H00 am, requesting her to watch.

Diary Session: Pep Les (Sheila)

She is doing good, the day was like a dream coming true, hosting her own show on radio. Has always been her dream, to be on radio. Had fun, learning how hard it is, but also at the same she could express herself. So she is in a very good mood, nothing can spoil her mood right now.

She loved radio since she was small and she tried hard to get on the radio. But never got the opportunity but luckily Ntsoaki made it possible for her as she feels that this task was made for her. But she is sure that other people like Lamethetic and NGO Queen would feel the same.

Pep Les learned that Die Lyf has a beautiful singing and that a lot of people are quite talkative in carrying a conversation. Also KissKiss has a beautiful voice for radio. The task made her realize that everyone is gifted in their own abilities, have their own strengths.

She thinks that Preacherman is amazing on radio, his personality in real life can be overbearing but on radio it works amazingly. This task made her to look at housemates in a new way.

Her favorite show was ‘Love Secrets’, KissKiss voice was real soothing and worked well Die Lyf’s voice. They worked so well together. It was a great show, and they were organized, showed KissKiss’ experience.

She ended the session by thanking Ntsoaki for the task, she learned a couple of things about herself, a few things she needs to work so that she can get on radio. It is giving her new inspirations, she lost hope, because she had been to so many radio auditions and always got turned down. The task made her feel good about herself, and she would now try not to give up on her dream.

Diary Session: Playmate (Meryl)

Playmate is tired but she just had a great show with Die Lyf, much better than the one in the morning. The task is the most challenging one ever, did not think they would this good. It has been a lot of fun even though they are not getting much sleep.

She learned that Barney is very competitive, they had a show this morning and Barney was just all over the DJ Box. Pep Les and GQ DHC were supposed to start but Barney just hugged the DJ Box. Also, she started their show 30 minutes earlier but did not inform Playmate, who is her co-host. Crayzee had to wake up Playmate.

Playmate thinks that Barney should have just done the show by herself because she does not take suggestions, and she takes suggestions and opinions in the wrong way as if you would try to make her look bad. She will have a talk with Barney about the specific show after the task because she does not want to do it now because it might just jeopardize the task.

When the task was introduced on Tuesday, Barney took it quite seriously. She sees as it an audition for radio.

Playmate’s quote of the hour: Maybe Paloma will get her own gospel show when she gets out of here.

Playmate suggested that Ntsoaki keep the meat until Monday and let them finish the fruit and vegetable. Cause she thinks that refailures are eating too much meat.

Ntsoaki congratulated Playmate on completing the secret task; told Playmate that she did it ‘very professionally’, and wanted to know if ‘there is something that Ntsoaki should know’.

Reward was placed on the ‘arm of the chair’ and stupid Ntsoaki did not show it.

Playmate missed the insinuation (Reaction: Dof much, Playmate?)

Playmate enjoyed her show with Jen the most. Was her favorite show, they were on the same page. Took criticism well from each other. The one show where hosts were actually working together.

Pep Les and DHC show was fun. Pep Less did most of the talking. DHC did not talk much, did not look as if he was into it.

Crayzee’s show was very smart, he phoned the different DJ’s and introduced the new radio stations.

She heard snippets of KissKiss and Die Lyf’s show but she thinks they should have done more investigation about what they wanted to talk about it.

But she thinks her show with Die Lyf was the best. The interaction was amazing, they worked over the mistakes, no-one could hear it. Very controversial but fun show. A sexy show.

Diary Session: Lamethetic (Munya)

The lame boy feels much better than yesterday. The task is a blessing in disguise. When you are working hard for something, enjoy preparing for it and then after a long time it actually happens, you do enjoy it; that is it what the task is about for him.

It is an experience, it is what the house should be about; pushing boundaries, allowing housemates to experience what they always wanted to do but never thought they would.

For him being on the air is a certain rush he would get, afford him the chance to talk, to entertain, to perform. He always told people all he needs is a stage. He does not care where that stage is, as long it is a stage, whether it is acting, dancing, whatever. He will do it, he is the guy! Performing is what he does, he invoke emotions. (Reaction: Whatever! Yeah, Lamethetic, we noticed! You are all about the ACT!)

Radio is something he always wanted to do. It is something that he wants to get into in the future.

His favorite show was the opening show, where they featured the Minister of Information because he knows what it was about. Radio for him is about talking and addressing serious issues and making it entertaining. There was so much that they addressed in that show, and people who watch it would get it. And the boy thinks you need to be very smart to come up with such a concept. He gave it up to Crayzee for that concept. Crayzee is actually not only a pretty face as he would like people to think, he is actually a very intelligent guy.

The boy then asked Ntsoaki about Ntsoaki’s favorite show. Ntsoaki gave that that lame line as usual: Housemates will find out blah waaah!

He found out that all failures are all are extremely talented, which one sometimes can take for granted. He would not mind to be a viewer right now, having the privileged to watch a great mix of people. Some are more hardworking then others, some more hard-headed then others. But then hard-headed would never learn like the saying goes, ‘You can take a horse to the river but you can’t make it drink the water.’

He then went out all with his self promotion KAK. Go on about how his as a producer would be able to use this bunch of talented, great mix of talents and produce this quality show that would ‘blow the roof off’ because he would know exactly where to place each and everyone. (REACTION: Y’all know I don’t like this fake laatie at all, OK? So, no way I can give a balanced update.)

He thanked Ntsoaki for Playmate’s gift but he can only take par-take in one of them. Ntsoaki then asked him how the non-smoking is going for him. The Lame One went all lame acting again, with facial expression and all. Uttering some about seeing fire, or something like that. (REACTION: Did I mention that I do not like this person?????)

Apparently it is hard for him not smoking. He saw the psychologist (thanked Ntsoaki for it) and he told the psychologist that he can feels it physically. She laughed at him.

(Reaction: The smoking lame convo went on for a more than just a couple of seconds and I tuned out. I started fantasizing about Blaire Underwood.)

He is missing having control over his own life because right now he is at the mercy of people he has never met but hopes to meet. And he is also at the mercy of people whom he met only six weeks ago, who know as little about him as he does about them.

And he is missing his son. Missing his girlfriend. Never felt like this in his life before. Is not missing going out, drinking… just want to be with them (son and girlfriend). Would be great if Ntsoaki could bring them in the house, not sure if that is something that Ntsoaki could consid

Diary Session: KissKiss (Code)

Is feeling pretty nice, never better. Is very comfortable with how it is going, since it is his field it would have reflected badly on him if went bad.

Favorite show, apart from his own, he likes Crayzee and Preacherman’s show. Lamethetic’s show was also nice.

After his row with GQ DHC last night, he realized that you have to set your boundaries with certain housemates well. He thinks that DHC is missing OWOB (Yacob) because he was really bullying OWOB is now looking for a replacement to bully. Is not sure if DHC wanted to try it with him, but that is not something he is going to allow. DHC feeds off making fun of people, he gets a lot of pleasure from it. KissKiss is not sure if he does intentionally or if it is just a strategy.

Housemates are putting in a 100%, failed the last task and if they would fail again they would really struggle with the food situation. Plus, people are really starving for alcohol.

Thinks Crayzee is a very nice guy but gets derailed because of the friends he has in the house, ie, Playmate.

(Reaction: Got lazy, and no alcoholic incentives and all!)

Diary Session: Die Lyf (Jen)

Feel Me and Touch Me are playing hide and seek under loads of blue material. But Die Lyf is doing good, the task is great fun, requires a whole of hard work and discipline but brings people together. Housemates are just having fun; it is the one task that makes them to ‘find the fun in it’.

She is surprised about well housemates are doing. She is proud of them, they are helping each other and it is going good.

Learned a lot about herself. When she came into the house, she asked herself if she would be able to handle it, and what she was doing there. A task like this made her to appreciate being in the house, because it is not only about being watched 24/7, but it is also about crossing boundaries.

Different individuals in the house, clash a lot, but as much as they are different, they all have something special in them. In this task, they have put all differences apart, and work together.

One challenge in being has head of house has been tiredness, too tired to clean, but she had to because she to set an example for the house. And this specific task requires a lot of energy but she had to make sure that the house is clean because Africa is watching and they do not want to watch a dirty house. So sometimes she just had to clean herself.

She has learned the value of family, those you love the most. Sometimes you take people for granted, not only boyfriends and relationships, but also Mother, Father and Brothers. Especially with what happened to Uti, she will not be the same when she goes out. She will tell them, all of them, how much she loves them. Often.

She ended session by thanking Ntsoaki for the t-shirts.

(REACTION: I am back to Blair. Cause, this was hands down (hands on??/) the most boring diary session!!! She should have just released Touch Me and Feel Me, would have brighten up, perked up, the blah session)

Diary Session: LOLO

Told Ntsoaki that she feels a bit under the weather still, but is sure she will feels better.

Her show is done, was co-host of Smelly’s show. And then it was her show which was all about fun, chat, very cool. After that it was Tarty’s show and the last show will be OWOB’s show. So, all is going very well.

Her show was her favorite. She had fun doing her own show. If she was a listener, she would definitely listen to it all the time. Talked about different issues, like what not to do, what to wear in summer. (REACTION: Yeah, like I let this slide!!! BBOS giving out fashion advice. Ok, I will let it slide. Just!)
Also talked about weaves, what guys think about hair, quality of hair, cocktails, talked to Tarty about her BBA history. And lots of great music in between.

She thinks she just might do radio later, after this show

She learned about Tarty, asked her lot of questions about BBA2 and BBA All Stars. Questions that she, BBOS, perceived as mind boggling but she is sure many other people wanted answers to. She got a lot of interesting answers.

The common thing she learned about her fellow Burn Mates is that they are a pretty focused bunch. To pull of it together and to make it sound like a genuine radio station is pretty hard.

She got know Tarty and Smelly very well because of the amount time they had to spend together. That is very cool because perception changed which would not have happened if they stayed in the house. So the time in the BURN worked out well for her.

For instance, she really got to know Tarty because at face value, she perceived Tarty as over flirty, over sexual. But after she got to know her well, obviously Tarty is very comfortable with her sexuality, and she is more comfortable around men because of her Tomboyish background, but she like to give people the benefit of the doubt until she has been proven wrong. After getting to know her well, she finds her very cool in spite of her preconceived notions about Tarty. So they will probably hang out more, even after the show, communicate more.

The station manager had been a bit power hungry, a bit of a dictator, just a different type of leadership, but he did guide them to the right track. So, he had been successful in doing his job.

Look forward to finishing the task and gets some sleep.

Diary Session: Smelly

Is exhausted! Stayed up late and when he went to bed, because he could not sleep. Something about the place, he can’t sleep. He has been up for 36 hours and is exhausted.

The task is going great, breezed through his show. Had some great content and did not realized that the time was flying.

With this task he learned that his Burn mates are not only hardworking, but also very creative and talented people. It has been great to listen to him.

Station Manager worked until late the previous night and delegated his duties for half of the day to Smelly ( Assistant Station Manager) had some shut eyes. But then he is the Station Manager and can delegate his duties because his was tired.

Station Manager turned over a new leaf, and is trying to make it work for him. Thinks he is coping well in the barn. The complaints had been going down a notch.

Smelly got an extension of another 24 hours for his special task because he thinks that OWOB won’t allow a massage form another guy. Ntsoaki told him to find a creative way to make it happen.

Diary Session: OWOB

(Looking like a white collared criminal with feminine qualities, trying to appear gangsta in prison)

He is doing well, feeling very confident about the task. It is fun and they are doing well. As station manager he feels confident, Smelly and LOLO did well on their shows. Tarty is also doing well. So, he is very confident.

LOLO’s show was his favorite thus far. It was a lot of fun, very professional. Second close was Smelly’s, he had a lot of sound effects, went out of his way to do that. Tarty is also doing a good job, inspite of her struggles with English.

He is surprised how well his fellow BURN Mates are taking the current situation, because they are at ease. They have no questions about what is happening next, are they going to get nominated, are they going to get evicted, what the producers might be planning. They are just being content about being there. He wishes he was within their mental frame work, that he had no questions, and could just relax. He can’t talk to his BURN mates because he realized he just upsets them with the questions. So he has no-one to talk to. Can’t talk to Ntsoaki because she has no answers.

The house has some kind of structure, the BURN has none. Blah, blah!!!!

He then wanted to know if Africa is voting their favorites to the BURN and then eventually vote them into the house to win the big prize. Cause he thinks that Africa wants to see them in the BURN, to see them out of their element. (REACTION: SHAME, foolish OWOB really thinks he has a chance to get that prize.)
