Jordan Francis stars as Barron, a multi-talented singer and dancer who steps to the beat, in the Disney Channel Original Movie "Camp Rock."
A versatile singer, songwriter and dancer, Francis landed his first acting role at age seven, playing Shuggie in the television series "Real Kids, Real Adventures." When he was only eleven, Francis wrote one of his first songs "No Matter," which made his hometown radio station's cd compilation. He has also been featured in "Honey" alongside Jessica Alba and Mekhi Phifer and "The Music Man" opposite Matthew Broderick, and his voice can be heard in the animated series "Carl Squared," "Da Boom Crew," "Franny's Feet" and "The Save Ums." He found a passion for performing live when he portrayed Young Simba in the Broadway production of "Lion King" and Lost Boy in "Peter Pan."
Born in Toronto, Ontario, Francis enjoys jazz, tap, hip hop and ballet dancing, and also practices karate in his free time.
"Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" airs on Disney Channel (Dstv 303) on 18 September at 09:00 AM.
