Chloe Bridges plays Dana Turner, the dreamy eyed brunette daughter of the rival camp owner in "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam," a Disney Channel Original Movie. A sequel to "Camp Rock," which was the number one entertainment telecast on cable TV in 2008, "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" brings the characters from the original movie back together for another summer of music and fun. This time, they face serious competition when the new, state of the art Camp Star opens across the lake. The rivals prepare for an all out battle of the bands to prove which camp is the best.
Bridges joins the movie sequel as Dana, a piano student at Camp Star, where her father Axel Turner (played by Daniel Kash) is director.
Her burgeoning career in Hollywood includes roles in "The Longshots," "Forget Me Not" and "Legally Blondes." She was also a series regular on "Freddie" the television series that starred Freddie Prinze, Jr.
"Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" is her first Disney Channel Original movie. "Disney Channel takes young actors under its wing and helps them," she said of her first experience with the Company. "They prepare us and they also made a safe-feeling environment for us to work in. It was great."
As a child, Bridges' first love was classical music. She has been studying and performing classical piano since she was seven. Her favorite composers are Claude Debussy and Franz Liszt.
But she also plays pop music. In "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" she is at the piano during a live rock concert scene.
Working on "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" with so many multi-talented actors and performers gave Bridges a new perspective on her career. "I thought I would have to choose between acting and music," she says. "Now I know I can combine them."
Bridges was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and recently moved to Los Angeles with her mother to pursue her career.
"Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" Premieres on 18 September at 09:00 AM only on Disney Channel (DStv 303).
