M-Net Series has announced a new 13-episode dating reality show called Rivals In Romance and is searching for brave-hearted singles to be part of it.

This is the official description: "The new series explores the modern world of dating by setting up challenges in which bachelorette's need to cunningly secure dates to avoid elimination. The ladies will be in pressure-cooker situations week after week, as they vie for attention and discover that ending up with Mr. Right is easier said than done."

Series Executive Producer Shaamila Fataar has this to say about the search for contestants: “We’re looking for smart, sophisticated, outgoing people who are hungry for love and willing to take risks in pursuit of a long-term relationship.

"Don’t be concerned that you’ll share a house with questionable characters. In this show, there is no space for sleaze-balls, odd-balls, desperadoes and hussies."

The show is looking to cast both single guys (the prey) and gals (the hunters) and the deadline for entries is tight. Entries close on Tuesday, 31 August so if you're keen, go for it pronto.

To be eligible to enter you need to be over 21 and a South African resident. You can fill in the entry form online, which you can download from the M-Net Series site. A link to entries: Download Form.

Alternatively, you can SMS your name and email address to 34086 and you'll receive an entry form via mail.

If you're entering - break a heart leg!
