Yes, as it had been said, TVSA’s 4th birthday celebration took place on Saturday 29th May and what a blast it was. I personally had fun.. and I totally trust that everyone who was there did – That was such a good party – and the words in everyone’s lips were.. “
when is the next one?” – hopefully that wasn’t just Vawter speaking. lol
I’d like to pass a few loose ‘
thank yous’ to a couple of people who made this possible.
One, Thank you to everyone who attended. Truth is TVSA is a special site with special people. Yes, it was just a bunch of strangers hooking up, but anyone who would have walked into that party at around 11pm would have never guessed that just 4 hours prior to that… we didn’t know who was who. And I still think it’s really cute when we call one another abo ‘
webster’ , ‘
vic001’ ‘
sobza’,
kelefabulous,
babyjoe etc (Yes, we do say Vic001, lol).
To all the bloggers who invited their friends, cousins, aunts and husbands, thank you very much – the more the merrier, ALWAYS!
A
second special thank you goes to our sponsors.
Selimathunzi – we couldn’t have done it so beautifully had you not got involved.
Vawter – that was indeed a vicked evening. Thank you
Audi – hopefully bloggers will buy these cars. You have been behind us with all the hookups – well, we have been inside you. Thank you so much.
Third, I’d like to thank
Lolhipop Records.
Motso… boy, you did well.. and with your attitude and your talent – you are definitely going places. I don’t know what the proper word to use would be, to appreciate our DJ for the night,
Dj Negotiator… That guy was just so humble, and he definitely wasn’t just putting up a face… I spent that day with him and that is just who he is. I always say there is nothing that beats a combination of humility and confidence. Thank you for giving us the best beats and for doing it with a smile on your face. Loved when you played Motso’s
‘motse wame’ on and off and the house was on fire… wow! We definitely had fun.
Number four is our bouncer. Mostly bouncers are supposed to be scary, angry and intimidating. Nna I was surprised to meet one that is cute, inviting and still maintaining order with a smile on his face. Thank you, bhuti.
Now
number five, closer to home, thank you to the MC himself, our own
TDC… you did such a great job. It was really a
success and the standard has been set – we only going higher from here. I think it worked coz you were so passionate about it and committed to seeing it through. Thank you; we had a great time... and yes, when is the next one?
Six, Tashi and Luke Tagg, thank you so much. TVSA is your baby; but you have let each blogger make it their own. That is really a special attitude. Thank you.
On a seventh note, I’d really like to pass the last special thank you to two very special and fabulous bloggers who started this story of strangers-get-together two years ago. They know who they are. Those are people who are still working facelessly, humbly and with love, behind the scenes. Most of the things that we are able to access, is because of some strings they pull and advice they give. Thank you – we love you, really.
Saturday was fabulous, people!
Pictures will follow shortly in a separate article. Bloggers sure know how to have fun – ALWAYS!
