Despite the voting scandal of last season, as well as every season before ...

Blast to the past to remember: Anke - and most of the other winners - ridiculously winning the show.

... M-Net has announced yet another season of the show, to premiere in July.

The auditions start in April, and will take place on Saturdays and public holidays. The auditions will be visiting Bloemfontein for the first time and will return to Port Elizabeth after a two-year break.

The audition dates and venues:

Cape Town
6 April, 2010 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre

Durban
17 April, 2010 at Gateway shopping centre

Johannesburg
24 April, 2010 at the Sandton International Convention Centre

Port Elizabeth
2 May, 2010 at Boardwalk shopping centre

Bloemfontein
8 May, 2010 at Windmill entertainment centre

I mean really now!!!!

I thought they will can this ish for like 2 years, allowing the producers to have a proper post mortem.  Are there any lessons learnt from the last season?

Research more, get new judges, work on the voting system and above all, find ways of getting the winners sustainable.  Look at what worked (hi hi hi) and what did not work.

What did not work?
The judges (It is time for new fresh blood - there is just too much dead wood there)
The calibre of contestants making it to top 24 (do they have STAYING POWER?)
Being aired on Mnet (If this carries on on Mnet, they will end up with beautiful guys and dolls without voices)
Get other radio stations to participate actively (YFM) did I say that?
Sound Quality (get professional)
Finale perfomances - haai haaai haaai man.  Don't you guys get some tips from AI?
Choreography????
Promoting and Marketing the winner/s - this is so lacking


What worked?
mmmm eh eh eh ............... I can't remember.  I will have to come back.

Konje who won last year?  Has she / he released an album?  My point exactly.  There is so much that needs to be fixed and I'm afraid, with the way things are, we are going to have anotther Thembi being eliminated, and getting a good looking gal without the voice emerging to be a winner.

Eish, we are very far from getting it right.

Eish i wish 2 try my luck bt i already imagine Randal's response. So i wont embarrass myself.....i will continue singing in the shower & when im listening to my cd's/radio
