Your Dream Wedding

I know most of us ladies, we always convince ourselves and say we don't wanna get married. but the fact is, we all would love to walk down the isle. saying we DO to our soul mates. right ladies? lol

But with us black people there's a culture thing called Lobola Negitiations, where there's no way we can skip it. most of families don't see eye to eye when it comes to this so it takes a little bit long before the wedding can take place.

Some people like the small wedding with just 100 or less guests! But most of us like the big wedding with 300 guests or more.

Please don't step on my dress honey!

I can't believe I'm getting married to President Zuma's Daughter! let me pintch myself and see if i'm not dreaming!

Wow,babes r u sure u not gonna leave me? tjo u too cute for me.

Oh my God how am I going to tell her to hide the bloody bra?

Haybo! stop it sweetie my parents r here , they won't like it when their daughter in -law kisses the hubby like this in front of everyone. save it for the bedroom!

OMW! If she can shake it like that in bed too, daam she fire burning!!

wow sweetie pie, finally we made it!!

Tjo! u r a little bit heavier, but i'm glad u r mine 4ever.

Bloggers, what kinda wedding would u like, Small? Big? at your parents' house? at the 5 star hotel? at the national park?
If u already married, please tell us about wedding!!

When did Zuma's daughter get married???

20 Nov 2009 11:06

whether the weeding is big or small it doesnt matter.... what matters is the person you marrying.... if he is indeed your soul mate, you signing your life away to be with this person till death do you part ( oh well nowadays till divorce do you apart), my dream is to meet someone who bests suits me and understand me someone who will love me unconditionally... singaya kobhala for all i care so long as i will be content afterwards.

a friend of mine wrote a very interesting peom/letter to a soulmate that i think it's worth sharing

Dear soul mate
Maybe we have crossed paths, maybe we haven’t met or maybe we will never meet….. irrespective of this sad reality I still have to let you know how I feel.
For You are the reason I look forward to getting out of bed in the morning and going to sleep at night. You are the reason behind my amiable fantasies and the driving force for my existence. You are the reason for my lasting smiles and endless cries, you are the reason behind my dim-witted thoughts and my pre-emptive actions. You are the mainstay for my personal growth and the bastion of my demise,
You are the perpetuator of my impatience and the enabler of my enduarance. You are the core of my dreams. You are the reason for my hopes and an acquirer of my faith.
You are the rationale behind endless conversations with friends and the effector of happily ever afters. You are the reason for our intellectual talks and funny titbit. You are the reason behind my endless bickering and the one behind my daily smiles. You are the reason for my longing and despressing searches. The one behind my due disappointments and the sweet excitement. You are the motive for the maximization of my utility and the baseline indicator for my success. I long to be united with you for you are the only one that can fill this annulled and emptiness I have. I feel as if my life will never be content unless I found you. I hope we do end up crossing paths even if it will be concise , to know that I got a chance to meet you, to love, to grow and feel complete (if that ever exists )will be fulfilling but If we don’t ever cross paths at least you’ll know how I feel
Yours sincerely
Your soulmate

well i already know what i want, a typical kasi wedding. white wedding, matrimonial ceremony @church, then receprion at my home ,second recepetion at mr j homes- we are from the same area so it wont be a hassle. change to my tradional attire at the go dance as much as i want 2 home and the same thing at Mr J's home.

next day which will be a Sunday i wear my white gown again for a professional photoshoot and then we go to our home where will have a braai with frriends and family, open our gifts and then go jewa leoto.

tsa go ba makoti ke tla di thoma ka mantaga, i hate this part my fiance is insisting i have to stay at his homw with his parents at least a month after the wedding.

i have the colour themes, the dress pattern,i know who my bridesmaids will be bona yonke into nje.

i love weddings, i think i would become a wedding plannner soon,my friends and family know this already and therefore they always involve me. its a lot of a work to organise a wedding though.

i also make handmade invitations cards, wedding favours, gift boxes, menus and programmes and that is why i already know what i want from invites to whatever you can think of its all there waiting to be implemented.

I DONT WANT TO GET MARRIED BECAUSE I HATE THE WHOLE WEDDING PROCEDURES but my dream wedding

part 1,
the traditional one at my home village, this will also be the day for the ntsho ya bogadi. food will be tradional, seswaa, mabele, bogobe jwa lekatane, mosutlhwane, nama ya podi, kgogo ya setswana, no salads.
Drinks - traditional beer and gemere (the one brewed with pine apple)
everyone will be invited. dress code for the village married women will be the german print blue one.

part 2
in a game reserve that i so love. around 100 people.

part 3
at the imaginary hubby's home - kgoroso ya mosadi. celebration equivalent to what we had at my home to balance out.

thing is my parents will not allow this because as the youngest so far and being the first one to get married at our home, they will insist that i have the big one at our home village.

My dream wedding has to be under the water. Even though I cant swim, i want to get married in a transparent submarine under the sea and the food will only sea food. My wedding dress will be shaped like a mermaid (an improved version of Unathi's dress) and husband has to wear the diving thingies so he can save me in case of emergency. I want to say I do in the presence of sharks and all sea creatures.

I don't think a lot of people will come to our wedding but i will issue out invites to everyone i meet.

I have 140 guests(ministers, photographers included).
2 bar men and it will be a buffet style (main and dessert). Starters will be served (seated).

Reception will be help at the main Lapa. Evening reception as candles will be nicer then
Centrepieces are candles (floating, square and round candles)- Flowers on main table only.
Gold or silver underplates, napkins tied with Ribbon (my colour) with programs wrapped inside the napkins.

Thank you gifts are candles with our picture and a message... I totally love candles

20 Nov 2009 13:01

jinxed...when I got married the pastor said he hoped we had found our own place to stay already because he doesn't support the idea of living with in-laws....

he used to say let parents, friends and the pastor visit for lunch or dinner, that's all...or a weekend and go back home...couples should stay alone from the day they are married to each other....to avoid conflict with in-laws

I mean for three months you won't be yourself, trying to impress and can't voice your opinions freely !!!!

but if your man strongly believes in it...it's a bit difficult to get out of it .good luck

Tholi

I hate the fact that the restaurant does not close when they have a wedding. I wont be comfortable knowing that people will be able to see everything that happens while they have lunch.

I was tempted to arrive on the fairyboat. My baby sister said she is going nowhere the water- so i had to opt for cars........

@tholi: Ask BigM about the Zulu Attire....lol

Am I still the topic at hand??? It's so nice to know.

I find that it's better to talk about yourself than to talk about other peoples business.

I'm sure if I had been complaining about my husband saying how inconsiderate and what a dog her is the responses would be different.

Sorry to disappoint you Tholi, people expected me to stop talking about him 6months after we started dating. It never happened. Don't hold your breath about this one After the wedding we won't hear anything about the hubby! lol

BigM: Thnx my friend. When you have something good to talk about people become annoyed. Mara once you start talking negative people want to know more. You can never satisfy abantu. Especially..........................

Tholi: Umamazala wants kids like no one's business. She will have to wait. I told her to wait.... SO i guess it's hubby for now. Sorry Zim....

@Mafresh: I would love for you to come. The more the merrier.

@Zim: You sound like a bitter person. I really hope you're not. I would hate to think that you have no one to talk about- If you do, you are more than welcome to talk about shim. After all you did mention something about freedom of speech....You sound like a nice person (dont ruin the image i have of you please) ROTFLMBBAO

GML I am glad its a one on one now, I don't know why were people talking on your behalf as if awukwazi ukuzikhulumela wena LOL.
I don't need a shim mina, I love being single.
You are a nice person yourself, but this hubby talk (everytime) of yours is just too much. Dont get me wrong there is nothing wrong with you talking about him but not all the time coz wena umenze some idol now, you sing praises of him and you worship him. The God that we serve is jealous God and He does not want us to put any man before Him.

Congratulations anyway but please tell people who cares bout him all the time (you can tell us once in a while thina) coz we do not know you guys and we do not care what he says or does for you. So please tell your family and friends

Aaaaah shame Zim.

I knew that you were single..... Any blind fool can tell from your responses. It's so full of loneliness and bitterness, it's sad.

I'm glad you know and can quote your bible dear

The God that we serve is jealous God and He does not want us to put any man before Him.

I hope you dont use this line as an excuse as to why you dont have a man. Or maybe it's because no man finds you attractive? Whatever it is I'm really sorry and I feel your pain.

You probably do need to get laid, as the "salt" is getting to your head now.

but please tell people who cares bout him all the time (you can tell us once in a while thina
I'm pretty sure you mentioned something about freedom of speech. I suggest ou exercise it on your blog, better still right an article about it. If it will make you feel any better....

Like I said, I would rather talk about myself than to talk about other people. My life is not that dull that I have to talk about other people, like you're busy doing. Complaining about me. It really is sad.

There you go- you have made me all mean.... I will pray for you tonight. I wil ask God to send you a good man(Like mine)- or maybe I should ask him to send you a good shag.... Wither way I will pray for you...

If I dont comment to any of your responses today, dont think I ran away. I'm off to our Friday Bar sessions. I'll have a tot just for you dearie..... It seems you need one...

Bye all.... Enjoy your weekend.

He bathong who do you want her to talk about?? the neighbour's dogs or the cleaning ladies @ work?? It shows that what they have is true love and you could learn a thing or two from their relationship.. When you love someone they are always on your mind and you just wanna talk about them all the time coz that makes you happy.. Wena who decides gore who do you talk about or when you should talk about them
