People of Mzansi have so much talent to offer, one of the most celebrated being Music. These Young female artists of this country are awesome with amazing voices. The list below that i have compiled is my favourite female artists, whom i urge everyone to support. I would like all yall Bloggers to give your lists of your favourites & y do u like them.(in no particular order)

Forgive me Daughters & Sons of the soil if there arent pictures,im struggling to download them, eish blame it on technology!)

1. Zonke Dikana
zonke
Good music with a beautiful voice,1st album (Life,Love & music)excellent.

2. Nhlanhla Nciza

We love the way she presents herself - she has her own style. She knows good music.

3. Lira
So far she has a successful music career. Talented.

4. Thandiswa
thandiswa
Love the fact that as much as this is bussiness, she does it for the love. Sales arent too much of a priority! (she said somethin like that)

5.Zamajobe
Thank goodness she didnt win Idols. Amazing voice, lets support.

6.Siphokazi
Besides the horrible dresses, shame lo mfazi can sing. Her music grounds us.

7.KB Motsilenyane
kb
im proud of her. She is proud of her culture, amazing voice.

- Then theres artists whose controversy dominates than their talent...maybe its time they do something about it coz we love their voices more: Bucie, & Tina. Listen to them, theres too much talent there.

-Wanda Baloyi & Ntokozo Masinga- Amazing voices, ure record companies need to market your albums more, lot of people dont know uve released new albums.

-Then theres talent that has disappeared: Thiwe(999 lady-remember her) apparently she is a call centre agent) some record co. has to rescue her.

-Where is Swazi Dlamini & Vicky Vilakazi: we miss u gospel sistaz.

Ke a go leboga ngwana wa thari entsho for not including Unathi on this list. That poor woman cant sing to save her life. Whoever lied to her that she can sing made a very big mistake because she and her few fans think she can sing. Everytime i hear her singing (especially that mother's love song) i get sick. Please sisi stick to radio, your day/afternoon job.. She's quite a lovely person anyway!!!

HARAMBE24
03 Nov 2009 10:50

Black child.....i have to ask, what makes one a Diva? I think some of these girls on your list can sing, while others do wobble infront of a microphone...but none of them are yet to be deemed as Divas. I for one cringe when these teeny boopers gals are called Divas. A diva is a singer that has had long reign as a singer, with outstanding talent and longetivity within the business....most of these kids on the list have not been singing for longer than a decade and yet we coin them divas....Brenda was a Diva, not Zamajobe - maybe in 2030....LOL

Agree HARAMBE24, These days when you behave badly and make outrageous demands you are called a diva.
Everytime i hear her singing (especially that mother's love song) i get sick.
Lol Sslave, whoever told unathi that she can sing really needs serious professional help. It is just so painful to listen to her singing. She even performs live, oh the horror!!

03 Nov 2009 11:24

Harambe I so agree with you too............. in SA we just throw the word DIVA around and has lost it's true meaning. Mama Africa was a Diva............. Lebo Mathosa was a DIVA and was very successful in the music business. SHe lasted till the day she died............   Who's Camagwini.......... or Zonke don't think i know any of their songs

HARAMBE24
03 Nov 2009 11:27

The problem is that these gals will only release 3 albums in a 5 years...you cant deem someone a diva ona  debut album..haikhona....i think Lira has piad her dues, from singing for a freak like Arthur to being broke...but her talent kept her going. As for Nhlanhla - i am not so sure about her singing, she pulled a Diana Ross and married her producer...go figure....

ps: Ms Chaka Chaka is not a Diva, she has failed to move with time...she is still stuck in singing Thank you mister dj for playing that song...in 2009, nogal.

Miriam Makeba was a Diva...so is Letta Mbuli....

GML
03 Nov 2009 11:27

I'm glad I didnt bring up the Unathi story.

The girl cannot sing.

I'm  not feeling Nhlanhla Nciza as a solo artist. I prefer her as part of Mafikizolo

Green.arrow
03 Nov 2009 11:28

Unathi.....i just thought maybe i dont understand her sound......everytime i hear her sing one eyebrow goes up nd i dont know what to say`...
And now....Khabonina is also singing?????......

I dont understand gore why is it tht when people make some impression in this small SA entertainment industry...they wanna try to do everything......
Khabo is a gr8 actor/dancer......Unathi is good at the radio thingy
Phila is also going to sing just when he was making a name as a presenter/actor
Some kid on craze said yesterday he wants to produce an album...
I lost count of such stories....

Now this tripple+ thread thingy works sometimes (very few cases) BUT  sometimes it ends up looking like ADD...nd the artists tend to loose credibility for even that one thing they do best.....
I applaud eddie murphy for not cutting an album simply bcos he can sing ( dream girls)...but focusing in his major crafts....

Or maybe im missing something......?

03 Nov 2009 11:29

I think Thandiswa is loosing the plot, trying too much to be Busi Mhlongo... Her lateest offering is not on, Zabalaza was the Thandiswa i knew and i still wait for the day when she comes to her senses... Whoever said this sangomaish songs sell, lied to her

Green.arrow
03 Nov 2009 11:36

I agree with u guys about the definition of a diva......some of the sistas have started well.....but some do still have a lot to prove to be coined divas

Ladygaga....i feel u on KB..but then again i thought i dont understand her sound.....

offtopic:..but there is this UK x factor band...Miss Frank..still rough arround the edges, but those girls are awesum nd different....

hawu Cande. I like Ingoma. It's a nice song.

HARAMBE24
03 Nov 2009 11:42

Green.arrow mina i am with you...i once told some gay queen...that as good as Beyonce is as a singer, she is no Diva...give her twenty more years in the game and tell me she can still sing.... A diva is Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin and bo Gladys Knight etc..those women have paid their dues, they are the divas....not bo Britney

cleve
03 Nov 2009 11:47

Cande nami I don't like Thandiswa's new songs, she is too sangomarish for me. Zabalza was a brilliant album that catered for everyone............

UNhlanhla and her music carreer is dead. She needs Teo coz now it shows who exactly made that group Mafikizolo

LOL @ Lira

Cande
03 Nov 2009 11:48

im not only talking about the ingoma song GML, i mean the other songs in the album are sooo NOT Thandiswa!!

Look at Siphokazi for an example, her kind of music from the first & 2nd album are still doing her good coz she has her own style and not trying to be someone else..

MAfikizolo i thought they were gonna release soon but when Nhlanhla released her second solo album i just lost hope! They need to bring us a killer come back album maan!

Cande
03 Nov 2009 11:53

i think authi ye ya nhlanhla ke yona e bolayang career ya gagwe mafikizolo is great
Yeah i think they keep releasing her albums just for the sake of TS, maara she also has an obligation with Kalawa Jazmee doesnt she???

TheLady
03 Nov 2009 11:55

I thought I'm the only one who's not gonna own Thandiswa's ingoma...

My ex once said most singers first albums are really good coz it took them years to write the songs and perfect them...the 2nd album is crap coz they don't get 20 yrs to write the songs...so true with Simphiwe Dana, Thandiswa, Zonke and Zamajobe (well I didn't like the first album..she breathes weirdly nje ungathi she's having some marathon sex)

If Ntsiki Mazwai happens to google herself again and lands here..easy dear, it's not black on black hate uyabona nawe asikubalanga kulelist...

hey banna...so im watching morning live and they had Qamagwini (sqweez the spelling if its wron plz)....ive often seen her and the two log thingies...and i never paid attention...
So she starts singing...and im impressed... thinking she has got her own thing going (i stand corrected).....even thinking about this article...(tvsa has taken over my thinking process)....

jiggi jiggi..lol...the cd fails her...a scratch or something...and she is shocked..and stuck but she carries on dancing (swaying side to side) to that "cd scratching sound...(and im thinking ...weird...and she's looking like...what happened)....on MORNING LIVE...national television....now i dont know much..but that ddnt look good....
Moral of the story...should i be a singer...lip singing is a big no no,...

I know most of u attent shows.....do things like this happen...cd going wrong...and the singer exposed for their lip singing?

Why Zamajobe has to feature on this article ? She only came with one song that most of can follow the chorus.

One of Kaya fm dj/presenter played Ndawo yami and after he said Zamajobe has a new album already in stores. I asked myself why is he not playing the new songs ? Is it that bad that we have to endure old Ndawo Yam'

jmdladla

the least they could have done is to play the new song. i haven't heard her new stuff at all.
