e.tv is looking to hire 3 new News Anchors, to be based at the channel's Johannesburg studios.
Reporting to the Africa Editor your key performance areas will include:
- Present live on air news bulletins from the studio in Johannesburg
- Present current affairs programming live on air or prerecorded in studio
- Present special news events live on air from location
- Conduct on air or prerecorded interviews with studio guests when required
- Working on the news desk write scripts for news inserts
- Write and craft intro's and cues to news stories in studio
Requirements:
- At least 2 years broadcasting experience
- Good editorial judgement and interpretational skills
- Good understanding of the visual medium
- Excellent command of the English language
- Excellent writing skills
- Experience in travelling and working on the continent of Africa will be an advantage
- Willingness to travel on the African continent when required and work irregular and long hours
Note:The successful candidates will be required to work irregular and long hours, including weekends, public holidays and standby shifts.
