After the death of the king of pop Michael Jackson on Thursday, last weekend's BET awards quickly turned into a Michael Jackson tribute - with numerous megastars paying their respects.

According to media reports power couple Beyonce and Jay Z refused to perform at the BET Awards with Chris Brown. Brown is the closest that I've seen performing like Michael Jackson but he's a woman basher!
The organisers decided to pull Brown out and yet a lot of his fans are crying foul!

So my question to all of you is that DO YOU THINK THAT THIS WAS RIGHT OR should they just have rallied together for the sake of the late Michael Jackson? Do you think that the couple or BET was right in doing
this?

Where they too hard on him? What happened to forgiving and moving on, after all the courts have already found him quilty and he was given a mere six months for his actions? And besides this was Chris' first offence! Should Chris pay for what he did and for how long?

On the other hand should we just excuse people from bad behaviour because they are talented? Talent doesn't equate character?

Come on now bloggers talk to me!

It's not the same thing. This whole thing happened when they were alone. We dont know the whole story. And for them to be all vocal about something that they dont know is just not on. Had they been there when it happened then it would be expected that they get involved in stopping him from hitting her.

Like if he was hitting her in public(mall) then they would be right to stop him. But Rihanna never really said what happened and how it started

It's strange that Jigga is @ the forefront of this Chris Brown blackout because he has always been accused of beating up Beyonce even before they got married. Chris Brown's people have since released a sttement saying that the Jay Z ultimatum story is not true and Chris Brown was not confirmed to perform at the Awards.

I gotta agree BA, if it was some unknown who happens to have hit a woman just once it was going to be difficult to forget that he is a woman basher.
Now that it is Chris Brown, it was a mistake and he deserves to be forgiven. F*** that man, he deserves as much punishement as the other women abusers out there..
Khona did he only get 6 months sentence?

He might have apologized and pleaded guilty but what matters is he has committed a crime and people like him should be used to make an example to other criminals out there...But unfortunately just him like Mandoza are public figures and can never be punished acordingly.
I wonder how Doctor Khumalo's case & Bryce Moon will go coz i hear they were under alcohol influence.

Because now i am not a judge so i wouldn't know what jail sentence he should get but if it takes them not playing his music, him not getting gigs and him being forced to contribute towards cause against women & children abuse or anything just to set an example towards other men who abuse women & children.
On second thought i think Bee & Jaz did a right thing, it shows how much they were against CB getting gigs whereas he is supposed to be getting punished for what he did...

Instead of trying to make us feel bad about accepting the fact that the law has taken its course, they must just tell us WHAT they want done to Chris to make them happy since this is now about them and not Rihanna. Rihanna is happy with the sentence handed out to C Brown. I saw her on Television, thanking the judge after he issued the sentence.
