All I watch is reality shows, and there was no way I would miss
The Moment Of Truth on Series(Channel 110) every Friday at 21:00. A contestant volunteers to answer 21 extremely personal questions for a half-a-million smackaroos. The questions are apparently volunteered by friends and family members. Some of the questions are even asked by people they would like to forget or pretend to want to forget – ex-boyfriends, lovers, in-laws, co-workers or friends.
Sample of questions ~ Do you think you are a better mother than yours was to you?
~ Do you think your in-laws are better parents than yours?
~ Have you ever been paid for sex?
~ Did you invite anyone to your wedding that your previously had sexual relations with?
~ Have you had sex with over 100 wo/men?
~ Do you have any secrets that you believe could end your marriage?
~ Have you had sex with someone other than your husband since you got married? ~ Do you believe you are married to the wrong man?
~ Have you ever fantasized about having sex with one of your co-workers while making love with your husband?
~ If (ex-boyfriend) had asked you to marry you would you have left your husband to marry him?
~ Do you believe you will be married to (husband) for the rest of your life?
This show seems to wreck every marriage that a woman (I have
yet to see a man as a contestant) has walked on stage to answer questions. The contestants are often married, sometimes longer than 7 years and have children. They have to bring four people to support them while they are asked the questions. So, obviously, the husband (who often sobs at the end of the show), mother, father and sibling are there.
There is a buzzer that can only be pressed once by a family member to stop the contestant from answering a question. It can only be pressed for one question during the entire show. BUT the question will be replaced with another one. Family members eagerly press the buzzer earlier and then later questions become too difficult to handle.
How do you answer a question like “
Would you leave your husband if I would take you back?” asked by an ex-boyfriend you still hold a fire-torch for while your husband is three steps away looking like he is about to collapse? Well, the woman said yes… the husband sobbed, the ex was thanked for asking the question and she still lost the money when she answered a wrong “yes” to “Are you a good person?”
How far would you go to get money? Would you enter a reality show like
Big Brother, I want to sing gospel, The moment of truth or
Don’t forget the Lyrics? Is the money worth wrecking your children’s home or your parent’s hearts? Will we see a South african version of the show?
