Pregnancy of School Girls

What do you think about the Pregnancy of School gals, especially when male teachers (WHO SUPPOSE TO BE PARENTING THE POOR LEARNERS) are the ones who got them pregnant.

When I was in high school, my classmate Nomsa had a crush on our class teacher Mr Taylor; she would write notes and stick it inside Mr Taylor’s files. Nomsa would do anything to get him, if he’s a coach for Netball and Soccer, Nomsa would join the netball team. If he’s a choir master, she would join the school choir.

Until Standard 8 (grade 10), when she became an SRC president. She would arrange meetings with him just to look at his lovely eyes. Finally when she was in Standard 9 he asked her to go out with him. They were so much in love, until when she got pregnant with his Son on Standard 10. He told her to do an abortion because he’s worried about his job if the principal found out he could be fired.

But Nomsa refused to do an abortion and she didn’t tell us about the pregnancy until when we were writing our Matric Final paper. We were at the class when the police budged in, asking for all room 5 girls (us) to meet them at our room. We were all surprised no one suspected anything until when we got to the room and saw the crying little poky pooky baby under the bed, we were asking one another who the baby was, but no one knew. I was pregnant I checked if my unborn baby was still in my stomach, only to found she was there kicking as always.

Nomsa admitted the baby was hers and she was going to leave him at the boarding house.
She was then arrested and released after a week. Lucky her, she passed, found a job as a nurse and she’s married now. He’s son is as healthy as ever.
Mr Taylor ran away, he’s no where to be found till today.

Nomsa’s son is 10 years and he can see he doesn’t look like his siblings, he’s way too light, but Nomsa can’t tell him that he’s not her husband’s son, because she doesn’t know where to find Mr Taylor.

Her and her family are blaming Mr Taylor while she was the one who seduced him.

Who to blame in this case?
Mr Taylor or Nomsa.
*Not real names, but Nomsa is black  lady, Mr Taylor is a coloured dude*

mr.taylor as the adult should have not let it get that far.when i was in high school i had numerous crashes on my teachers some new but none ever acted on it,it would be unprofessional .
but one day i hope she tells the kid the trueth.stuff like teen pregnancy should be avoided but people should not made to feel ashamed or like they are the wretched of the earth if they find themself preggies in school.
i say lets show love and mercy to all cause we all make mistakes theres no sense in gloating on the repurcassions

I think the person who gets pregnant is to blame. Unless you have been raped then it's a different story. I got pregnant when i was 20. i knew exactly what I was doing and I didn't care.  We all know that if you sleep with a guy without a condom you are gonaa get pregnant. I have myself to blame and not the guy.

But in this case Mr Taylor is also to blame because he allowed  fell for the child's advances.

What is a13 year old doing with a boyfreind having sex?? I really don't undertand please someone explain to me.

im sorry but thats unacceptable its unprofessional and so wrong on many levels its not funny.kids are sent to school to be educated, the teachers should know how to deal with things like these.cause kids are young and impressionable.,its easy for a 13 year to fall for older guys or ladies.i thinkthe taylor dude failed in his duties as a tacher.but thats my take

@tha - bang, you right, yazi sometimes when your class teacher send your parents an sms saying you'll be home late coz he had to teach Mathamatics. your parents trust him as your teacher so even if you get home at 8:30pm they don't question you coz they know you were with a parent. but abothisha banmuhla you never know.

statistics work with %'s Lepogo, so it doesnt matter how many teenagers they are at that particular time if its 72% teenage pregnancy then it means 72% of the teenagers at that particular time are pregnant whether its 100 teenagers or 500 teenagers..
What the blooggers mean is that the statistics where not that high in their days, and there wasnt a lof of this STI's then.

22 Oct 2008 08:26

Please stop w\already.There has always been teenage pregnancy-my had me in her teens, and not too many of us can say they NEVER experimented at that age. Lepogo, our worry is that the age at which teenagers get peggies these days is getting younger/lower....when I was 13-16, I was still playing mgusha on the street. Kids of today are young hot things at the age of 12 n they won't be caught dead doing or playing childish stuff...

Im not sure whats everyones problem is-whether they having sex or the results of having sex are there for all to see?? Our concern now is that they don't take care of themselves by taking protective measures, hence the pregnancies! As for them having sex, I think we've already lost that battle!

my 9 year daughter said to me one day, "Mom I want you to do my hair very nice, I want to be HOT at the school Movie Day" mmmmm ayi i don't know!!!! see what I mean?

22 Oct 2008 08:27

It's sad that teenagers are engaging in sex at such a young age.  As much as we can say that young girls are impressionable i think everything at the end boils down to the parents and the way the instill discipline, respect in their daughter's life.  City Press covered this story thoroughly this past Sunday and is worth a read, check it out.

22 Oct 2008 08:34

Teenage pregnancy has been around for many years, its just that back in the day, families used to hide this thing.ie..pretending the granny is the mom,or marrying away the girl.I myself became a mom at 19,so I don't judge teenage mothers, nor do I encourage it.sometimes teens make the wrong choices,I mean we've all done things we are not proud of.Nna I honestly believe gore if parents start spending more time actually raising their kids, government grant stops, sugar daddies should also be sent to prison, teenage pregnancy levels will go down.People don't care anymore, this whole children rights thing is just a mess, kids know they can do whatever they want and all that happens is that they get sent to their rooms.

LM .... except for mothering her kids NO, my uncle gave up on her .... In June i went home and spoke to my uncle asking for his permit to take her with me so she can do at least i call centre course, my uncle exact words were "sisi, she got an equal chance as any other child here im my house, i forgave her at first, then second time i didnt know what have i not taught her and for the third time, i just knew that the only thing that she wants is to be a mother, so allow  her to do what she wants, and if you take her(which i disapprove), be sure she takes all her children, nobody here will be able to raise children of another women " .... so ke ya things are just like that, and im so afraid she gonna get pregnant again but i cant afford to take her and her kids with me NO, i wont afford them and the nanny.
