Today i'm celebrating my two year anniversary with my girlfriend. Its no secret i have been pondering marriage for quiet sometime.So last a month a thought crossed my mind that,wouldn't it be nice to get engaged on ths day.I had already started making plans for the day we get married and payments for lobola way before my moment of clarity that occured last month.So a diamond ring was out of the question, cause all the money is going into savings account for the Lobola. I got a simple band, put it in one of those boxes within a box and prepared breakfast in bed for her this morning.After breakfast we exchanged gifts and i was actualy surprised she did not see the whole ring thing coming,she was flabbergasted and I'm proud to say I'm engaged.
In December I'm planning to have my uncles to go see her family,at least I would have something substantial saved by then.To smoothen the negotiations.If everything goes well hopefully by April next year, God willing,we will be wed.Oh I will get her a diamond for the wedding day, I know its done the other way round but it will be more doable then than now.
I'm very happy ,my mom is cool with the decision and she is 100% behind us.Which will make things easier, hopefully her parents will feel the same way.It would be nice if there are no unnecessary issues.
I just hope me and her keep on growing together and never get tired of each other. The future looks bright and I'm alll smiles
