Synopsis

Set in the affluent ocean-side community of Orange County, California, The O.C. follows the lives of a group of friends and families who are about to change forever.

When the philanthropic Cohen family take in outsider Ryan Atwood, they have no idea how his presence will effect them. Their awkward adolescent son, Seth, finds a friend and brother in Ryan to share his quirky way of looking at the world and to help him overcome the trials and tribulations of winning the heart of Summer Roberts, his lifelong crush.

Meanwhile, Ryan falls in love with Marissa Cooper, the beautiful girl next door, but their romance is constantly tested by their inability to escape the past.
