On Countdown 2010 tonight, Tuesday, 8 July 2008:

  • Royal Bafokeng Stadium: a visit to the completed stadium in North West, one of the most modern in the country. It is being upgraded for 2010 and will be a venue for 2009’s confederation cup. 

  • Eugene Khoza continues his travels in Europe and visits the South African exhibition at Euro 2008 in Vienna. 

  • He also meets up with South African musicians - Bongo Maffin's Stoan and the General - who accompanied the South African delegation to Vienna as they sample the kind of music that tourists can expect to hear in South Africa at the FIFA 2010 world cup. 

  • The show chats to the Iron Duke himself, Irvine Khoza to ask him how we can achieve his dream of making the World Cup a truly African experience. 

  • Finally, a look at how the recent xenophobic attacks have affected township tourism. Can football help heal the wounds caused by this chapter in South African history?
