Hello all,
Its been almost a year ever since i jot something here. Of course not that I didn't the need to put something, not at all, its just been crazy. But the journey or rather the path i was on was really awesome, getting to listen to some of the latest artists of this country. Of course I got myself a huge pack of CDs, from kwaito, house, hiphop all the way to soul sounds.
Now, there are a number of releases that got my attention, from HHP, Mr. Pride - JubJub, Black Coffee, Zonke, Phash, Jaziel Brothers and many more.
Like I said in one of my few posts last year, I will not come here and waste people's time. The SAMAs took place last weekend @ Sun City, even though I didn't go because of one reason or another, I then decided to take some time off my hectic schedule and watch the awards on the small scream instead. But after the awards, I was indeed dissapointed and ashamed.
There is a lot into this. But I am glad that there is not any artist I heard of, who went and caused drama for not winning the award like what Lvovo and Mgarimbe did last year. I feel sorry for them, their big mouth got them silenced. But thats that, the main issue here is the manner in which the awards are conducted. There seems to be a dark cloud, the likes of TK, Oskido and Arthur even voiced their concerns and criticized the awards live on YFM. Auchhhh... Music industry!
Anyways, this is my welcome note and I hope to stick around a little longer.
