The road. Hmmmm. The road in congested traffic can be a nasty place to be on especially if you are RUNNING LATE! No wonder the phenomenon called road rage exists. Well this blog is about the STUFF that takes my mind off the frustrations caused by traffic.

6

I just had to get behind this vehicle just to make sure I read right! What kind of business is this??? Human remains? Like is this a DRC company, Zim company….anyone that knows pls tell me.

In fact, anyone that’s brave enough to do this…please call the number on some u have chopped your neighbour’s child’s body cause she doesn’t stop crying and u’d like them to pick up her remains….or whatever!

1
8.00am- around the time i'm supposed to be at the office

2

8.05am-less than a kilo covered.

word
The only reason i noticed this car is cause i can make out the word KNIFE based on the letters in the registration plate: a pastime of mine!

7
I like this board cause of the black and white pics and cause it’s converse -it speaks to me (8.10am)

destination
Destination! 8.25am

Yeah, i arrived late for work today but i wasn't stressed!!

LMAO Toxic: I hate those shoes too...their (same design or material) truworths or foschini dresses, tops/blouses and etc...

1KARABO personalisation: I still don't get the whole personalisation thing...maybe ke mona... because I can't afford those plates.

About the traffic....unfortunately I don't share your experiences...am always (morning n afternoon) at the opposite of major traffic flow....I guess sometimes it helps to work in the bundus. There is only one solution for you...raga lepai ngwanyana!!

I owned a pair of those shoes until I saw that billboard! Ha ha ha aha

u're brave for admitting this!!

um! maybe you should try the "back routes", Tox!

If u don't risk gettin your car scratched by abomdrayseni (taxi drivers)...then u use more petrol to get to work cause of the countless gear shifts and red robots u come across and then the distance is only shorter if u're early...so highway it is...anyone else coming from the South that knows a route other than the Booysens thru jhb cbd thru mandela bridge one?? Pls holler!

Dankie Preshiii....en jaar, hulle is nie!

LOL at those shoes, now that i look at them they do look funny, my aunt had them and they looked ok.

LMAO Belz......!!!!! That billboard's been up there for as long as i can remember...they must bring us Scandal or DSTV ones for a change!

I can count myself lucky to reside in Maftown, we got ONLY 50 - 100 vehicles. no traffic wayawaya!

...and my friends are always complaining asking me when I'm coming to work in GP.Thank u very much,I stayed there 4 4yrs and the traffic I experienced will last me for a life time.I have a friend who resides in Equistria Park in PTA and she works in Braamfontein [De Korte street to be precise],u can imagine what time she wakes up so she can be in the office by 8.She likes calling me when she's stuck in traffic ka bo 07h40 and by that time she hears me bidding my family farewell and then she hears me greeting my colleagues and she's like 'WTF u at work already and I'm still on the road' and I laugh at her.I LOVE MAFTOWN.

Toxic
21 Apr 2008 07:28

he he he Lex....that's what i hate abt traffic--the hours one spends on the road to go to a job one hates!

Feza
21 Apr 2008 07:52

So Tox who was driving for you while you took the pics?

Road congestion is a serious problem in the big city ... maybe we should all invest in scooters...No really

My cousin recently came back from London and people there use cycles, they even have a lane reserved for cycled on the high -way. But those are white people and you know bo Ndaki ba yang...No one would abandon the comfort of their car for a seat on the scooter.

Segololo
21 Apr 2008 07:58

<<No one would abandon the comfort of their car for a seat on the scooter>> I would! I would even jog or run to walk if my company had showers and change rooms to encourage such!

Toxic
21 Apr 2008 07:59

Feza, i drive solo.....so took the pix while i was driving..aren't we known as the greatest multi-taskers???

Abt a motorcycle/scooter...if i knew how to ride a bicycle, i'd be the 1st one to get a bike. Apparantly u need to know the basics of balance that cycling affords you before you ride a motorcycle.

Toxic
21 Apr 2008 08:02

Oh, there are many biking clubs out there full of mandaki Fez......should ahve been at the Soweto Bike Exhibition to see them :)

I would! I would even jog or run to walk if my company had showers and change rooms to encourage such!
Mee too Sego!

Toxic
21 Apr 2008 08:07

LOL, Fluffy.....some of the stuff i come across is amazing..men in white pants that don't reach their pointed shoes walking with some degree of confidence/arrogance!

Lex
21 Apr 2008 08:13

the biking thing,I were to get a job in GP (the job would have to have some serious perks for me to come there again) I would definitely go that route. My colleagues would have to get used to me wearing leather baby.

21 Apr 2008 08:40

nice toxic i 'm laughing so hard. i always meant to ask from the guys who live i gauteng do you guyz know what the alphabets on the plates stand for, coz here in KZN i know almost all and the ones i dont i can alwayz figure them out with 90% chance of getting them right.

belz
21 Apr 2008 08:50

Toxic
21 Apr 2008 09:00

He Belz, u just gave my blog a nu title...MY TRAFFIC MOMENTS...thanks gal!!!

Heavenly.....how many cars are in KZN kanti?

Thanks Shadow......u can find my place of work but it's gonna be a mission to find the exact chair i sit on LOL

heavenly
21 Apr 2008 09:22

Heavenly.....how many cars are in KZN kanti? - hay toxic phela cars form the same place will have the same no plate example: ND2153(all Durban cars); NP(all pitermaritzburgh etc so its easy to figure them out unlike Gauteng's XPZ; KFY etc i mean how would you know that. i dont know if i'm explaining myself clearly.

Toxic
21 Apr 2008 09:34

Oh, heavenly i get what you mean now. In gauteng all cars are GP cars and what i meant about reg plates is that you can form words using the letters on the reg plate e,g

FZK=Fezeka
WHT=White
KNF=Knife
MHL=Mahala

that kind of game......there's no way to tell whether a car is from Pretoria, Johannesburg, Midrand or any other GP city unlike your ND, NP, NUR plates.

heavenly

22 Apr 2008 00:04

Shuga, in bumper to bumper traffic, anything is possible. You can even eat a bowl of cereal and not spill milk on yourself......

Lady D...thank goodness for PhatJoe and Wackhead and Gareth Cliff, i no longer have reason to subject myself to Thomas' voice.

belz
22 Apr 2008 00:34

You can even eat a bowl of cereal and not spill milk on yourself...... > Very true, when i left for work today i was wearing boots but itraffic kaWilliam Nicol , tjo!! i managed to take off the boots and get very comfortable in my sandals while sitting in the traffic, i fail to drive in anything else except those sandals!!

Toxic
22 Apr 2008 00:41

William Nicol?? That road is always congested-don't know why they don't add extra lanes or something..if it's not an accident on witkoppen/it's cedar/or the exit to the highway. People using the N1 North change to gear 5 AFTER William Nicol.....and u're right Belz, you can change shoes, even remove a "blackhead" in that traffic!

27 Apr 2008 06:48
