Watching Isidingo last night....................... I cant describe what i felt it ws like reliving the loses that i have experienced in the last year.

When Barker asked for the car to be stopped and he got out what he felt and the emotions he showed on the screen remined me of my dad when my brother passed away, who said men don't cry or grieve oh yes they do and it breaks my heart to see one break down and cry like what Barker did. The mood on the whole episode was somber evemn before they found out that Lee had died.

The whole episode reminde me of the loses i have suffered during the past year and how it tore my heart to lose someone in just seconds. Last year my brother went out to buy icecream for his kids and he never came back home again, He was a victim of a hit and run we only found out he was dead an hour later when we tried calling his phone and no one was answering , the worst part was he searched everywhere only to find in the Mortuary. The pain you feel that instance is like the world has stopped for and the pain is unbearable but you learn to live with the hurt and the pain.

This year i suffered the same pain all over again, My friend's boyfriend spent the whole weekend with us and on Sunday he decided to go back to his own province, two hours later he called him wanting to find out where he was a just for the norma; chit chat, he didnt answer his phone but somebody else did and they told us he had been involved in a car accident and he was dead. The pain the shock and everything else that happens that very minute is unbearable.

Why is it that the death of those we love is so unexpected , that got me thinking of life what if i die today without the fulfilment that life brings , what if i die without finishing my degree , All those what if scare me so whats the reason for slaving away at work , why not just live life to the fullest and enjoy it without thinking of tomorrow.

What if this weekend was the last weekend before you die what would you spend it doing?????????

I would
1. Tell everyone dear to me i love them
2. Drink hunters until i cant breathe
3. Club the whole night until they chase me out of the club
4. Have sex like there is no tomorrow
5. Drive my car at the maximun speed in the highway until it flies

Re- your question -it's a crazy-stuff one. I've thought of it in moments and then get too freaked to think about it. Also the idea of living like there's no tomorrow - it's so difficult 'cos of all the things that tie us down like the general things you have to do every day, just organising life, paying bills etc - it's one thing I definitely wouldn't do!

Been looking at your list, I think you've chosen really well - I'd want to do what you've said, except drink Brutal Fruit instead of Archers.

Hmmm...i definatley wouldn't spend it studying like i have been the past weekends.
I'd spend it:
1. eating, all the foods that i am restricting myself...cake, chocolate, chips, magwinya...eish i'm drooling now...

I must say, last night's episode of Isidingo reminded me why that soapie truly is a South African classic, acted out so well under dire circumstances, lef t me teary eyed, was just too much.

To answer your questions, I'd have a lot of sex, honestly, and a lot of food. Yes, sex and food in abundance, ahh, the good life.

like everyone else - i'd have sex like it was the last time, tell everyone who i love exactly how i feel about them - but also,pay a compliment to everyone who i admire - there's nothing sweeter than an unexpected compliment!

i'd go out and give into my every-so-often secret desire to stuff my face with prawns and steak (i'm a committed vegetarian)

i'd escape to some bushveld luxury paradise (7 star!) with my beloved and have champagne, prawns and loooots of sex!

i'd go on the mother of all shopping sprees - retail therapy is amazing!

i feel what you say about the pain of loss - i lost six loved ones in a period of six months about 6 years ago (ok, what's with the sixes?) , and i felt like the living dead....

then today, i read about some good samaritan who tried to stop a hijacking, and got shot dead- and he was with his 3 year old son... so painful! as i was reading it, i was so overcome with grief for a split second - like i was this mans wife or sister or mother, or something... i literally found myself holding my head in my hands in sorrow. all i could do was say a little prayer for his family and friends.... crime, bathong....

consideering my present occasional suicidal tendencies, i will give this blog a very wide berth.
tried reading it but welling up too much.
the way life hangs on a thread is often scary.
sometimes you wonder why we worry about relatively little things when we others are willing to give an arm and a leg just to have life with all the problems we think we have.

I need to get on the fone and hear that one voice that makes it seem worth living for me.

The hardest part is realising that life never stops.Irrespective of its cruelty to you,it just keeps on moving.
Accepting that is the hardest part of sudden loss.
