TV becomes Brighter, Bolder and Betty-er

A few weeks back I accidently came across the fact that GO had begun broadcasting Ugly Betty and was some how relieved to see it was the first series and M-Net hadn't moved this hilarious comedy to GO, which I knew it wouldn't but fear it loves to do!

However I'm batteling to understand how M-Net can schedule two episodes of Ugly Betty 1 on GO from 18:30 - 20:30 and premiere the all new second season tonight at 19:30, meaning the second installment clashes with the new episode airing on M-Net. Oh well, thank god for PVR!

Ever since Tashi broke the news about M-Net bumping up the Premiere date for Ugly Betty 2, due to the Writer's Strike affecting episodes of Pushing Daisies, I have been eagerly looking forward to today, despite the hiatus between seasons not being that long.

However tonight we're treated to the return of my favourite Wilhelmina Slater whose trying to take over the Meade name by marrying daddy Bradford Meade, and we're waiting to see whether tranny son/daughter Alexis and Daniel survived thier car crash, or is Amanda Daniel's half sister? I must admit, for a dramadey/comedy, Ugly Betty's season one finale was one of the most dramatic suspenseful finales compared to some of those in the drama genre.

Most of all I look forward to the campy humour between my favourite trio Amanda, Marc and Wilhelmina and throw in some Herbalux fashionista from Hilda and we're all set for another season of Ugly Betty. It's going to be Bigger, Bolder and Bettyer.

Thank goodness for all the repeats, otherwise its going to be hectic juggling my Tuesday viewing.

Agree CD, the finale of Ugly Betty 1 was beyond super, there was a mini-cliffhanger with each scene, it was awesome, can't wait to find out what happens next. Saddest bit off course was Hilda's fiance being shot dead.
