Bloggers, as you are aware that Nonny spends her entire day here at TVSA from Monday – Friday. So I tend to be very observant of our blogging habits. We are so good at going OFF TOPIC, so I figured wouldn’t it be pro-active an innovative to create an article that allows us to discuss issues, topics and concerns that are not in relation to the blogs/articles at TVSA.

If this idea does not appeal to you, feel free to exit this page, as I am only doing this because as a blogger I know I enjoy going off-topic, but sometimes when we go off-topic in another person’s article it shifts our focus on their concern and we start drifting away from what the original article was about.

Now I am not planning to have this off-topic business going on forever and ever AMEN. But for today, I just want to let you know that here is a blog that allows you to talk about your off-topic matters.

My first off-topic is: “Did anyone watch the new mini series titled “Entabeni” yesterday on Fo Sho at 20h30? The series is part of the 5 new series that SABC1 will be showing and there will be 6 episodes of each series. Personally I loved it and I can already see there is a vast improvement in our local programmes as well as the standard of our artist, what did you think???.” I also spotted Vatiswa Ndara (some of you might remember her from Home Affairs) ……..and damn the lady is good.

Hmmm, didn't see it. Was at a primary school, watching grade 1's to grade 7's sing and dance on stage, thanks to my grd 3 brother. Shame, they were cute. THe grade one's had little umbrella's and were singing to a song that had something to do with the rain. My only problem is that this "concert" of theirs is running until tomorrow night, and they all perform each night, meaning i have to sit through this thing 3 nights in a row! Hai bo! But i cud always drop them off, and fetch them, eish, mara petrol is R8.50 now!!!

I agree. I also felt like that at some point only to discover my exboyfriend, right here. He started off sounding or say,  "reading" just like him & i wondered. 
Its worse we didnt break up in such good terms. So the love just grew again. I still miss him, but he seems happy now... and doing very well without me in his life. 
It was sad at some point, but i think i got over it. I see him here all the time but there's that small wonder... "does he know that its me?".

I also spotted Vatiswa Ndara (some of you might remember her from Home Affairs) -  was she the mama that got hit by the car by those boys? i dont remember seeing anybody that might have looked like her.
Shem it was sad and abit funny when the tatamkhulu announced who is gonna be the next CEO!!
I think I'm also gonna enjoy these serieses.

OTT - have u noticed how time flies when you are actually working and not lounging around?

Tynt you never let an ex that's trying to win you back sleep over (big mistake). Besides that's 5 minutes away from your bed so anything can happen. Its clear that you want him back from the tone of your words .No matter what we say to you you will take him i can sense.

I went grocery shopping Saturday and when I went to the till to pay there was a white lady in front of me. When it was her turn to pay, the cashier was a black girl, she flashed the woman the biggest smile she could and greeted her and even asked her how she was. She asked her if she wanted a plastic bag. She even helped her pack her groceries.

When my turn came, she grumpily asked me “DO YOU WANT A PLASTIC BAG”, hell she didn’t even smile at me. Is there a conspiracy amongst cashiers that states that you should never ask how a black person is or even flash her a smile but its required for white people.

They apparently have high concerntration of Iron and Magnesium. Things can turn bad if u keep them for a long time and mix them with water. I dont know who approved it but that quality spec checker did a blander/boobooo...it actualy reminded me of the Condom scandal.

OFF TOPIC - I need advice in order for me to give good advice bathong hle plz!

I have this friend - she is 22 turning 23 this year and has only ever slept with one guy (twice) while we were doing our 3rd year and the guy dumped her for a younger girl, she was heartbroken becoz she (and the rest of us) thot that this is the guy for her but nonetheless time went on and she refused to date anyone till abt a month ago - this is like 3years later.
Problem 1, this guy is trouble maan, I know him from the EC - we grew up in the same area, me being the tomboy that I was back then knew everything the boys got up to coz i was literally one of the boys - including their shananigans neegirls up until tertiary level. I tried speaking to him abt her just to hear what he is up to really and it turns out the boys are sick and tired of this pretty chick who wont let anybody up in her pants so basically they want to make sure she keeps sane by having sex - u know how men are.

Now when I speak to her with regards to this man - whom we both know ba unjani uthi I must let her be and she truly believes uba they are meant for each other and he needed to play around before he gets to the one - she believes this ONE is her!!! *sigh*

so what do I do to make sure my beloved beautiful (inside and outside) friend is spared from this man!
He is cute and he can be very convincing I know him very well but I dont want to be the one who has to pick up the pieces when he is done.
A part of me wants to sit back and just pray that she loses interest first but the chances of this happening are like zilch knowing how the both of them are.

I say, leave ur friend to make her own mistakes, coz as a person mina I know I am not the Nonny that I was years ago and certain aspects of me have changed and maybe the guy she is dating has also changed from what he was in ur EC tom boy days. The best advise u can give ur friend is to get tested with that man she is crazy about and then when they have sex, they must ALWAYS use a condom, coz sometimes it's sad in life to see a person who has change to have their old ways catch up with them by being HIV positive. So that if (coz u never know) should they break up, it will be better for her to only worry about her broken heartm, than other things like ukugula and stufff.

eish guys i'm so heart broken coz i've just lost a dear family member.....when i came back home Monday evening from emtakweni(whole weeken), i was told by my brother that my baby had gone missing....yazi all the way going home i could just feel that something was wrong and my brother had just confirmed it.....i dont know if his dead or just wondering around or if someone took him....worse, it was raining yesterday and i was thinking about him the whole time, if he was warm and dry,if  he was hungry, if he's safe or if he's alive. @Nonny: The problem is, waiting for a man to come to me has never worked in the past. Coz it limits my options, u know what I mean. Nkosi yam guys. I'm so worried you know I've heard that there are really sick people out the but what is happening to me now I think is so so Sickening. 
I have a friend whose been receiving these calls from this unknown gut, telling her how beautiful her body is and how he would like to F**k her. All this time we thought ag man it's just a joke.

Until yesterday when he sent smses insulting her the way ayisifebe ngakhona and yena he is going to get her one day and he is going to bring he's 3 friends on that day so that they can do it to her. That was it my friend was so terrified she left her house and came to me she couldn't sleep there by herself. Just after 30minutes that she was at my place my phone rang and it was the guys number. I answered the phone and he asked me where I was I asked him who he was and told me he so so from a location around us about 60km from where i stay.

I don't know the guy from the he dropped the phone after telling me who he was.  from there smses where now coming to me saying how good my body looks and how he would like to N***a me, and he can see that I'm very good with with. And he is now watching porno movies and thinking about me but I must not worry because for now he will masturbate and will f**k me next time.

the next one came just after 20 minutes and that was around 2h00am saying he is so horny and can't wait to be with me saying that he luvs sex like nothing on earth. this morning he called again and I just insulted him then he dropped the phone.  Phoned vodacom bangitshela ukuthi I must first go to the police station to get a case number and you i thought it was just going to be that easy then vodacom can trace the number, kodwa not our system now the police is askin if there anybody that I suspect.  

What do we do with my friend god we are so scared and phela we staying alone in those houses what if the guy uhlanya more tonight and decides to come to one of. And guys the police are not going to go to vodacom until they do their own investigation.

TIPS TO KEEP SAFE:

Sana please invest kwi stungun(spelling) and pepperspray. When you go to bed, put imela(very sharp),stungun and pepperspray under your pillow(yes all three), and always have at least i-pepperspray in your bag too. 

If the police cant do anything at the moment than at least you're a little prepared...or  cant you ask a male cousin/or brother/friend to come stay with you? 

Also gal, get a dog and umlalise in the house...believe me they do help coz his barking will wake you up in no time.......

Mseu, u should not delete any of those sms's. Keep them. Last week there was a story like urs on the paper about a white woman who was being terrorised by someone via sms and fone calls. She kept them and went to vodacom to ask them to release this persons details so she can open a case against her. Vodacom didn't budge so she went to the court to make them force Vodacom to release the details of this person. It sounded serious eish but urs is worse. I don't know wat the outcome of that was.

off the topic, I am one of those people who cannot fall asleep with out watching Oprah (the Segololo club) but now i am starting to loose interest after all this Dr OZ daily dose. He is a good doctor with valuable advice but i think we have heard enough of him. He makes the topics interesting with his funny medical lingo and his ludicrously eccentric behavior on the show. I dont wanna forfeit my sleep in hoping to watch the Oprah show, the next thing I see is this  man in theatre attire on TV every night. Oprah better hook him up with his own show like he did with DR Phil, this has to stop. I have also noticed some middle age crisis syndome with Ms Oprah all of a sudden she is concerned/freaked out about getting old/dying, what's happening with our faboulos lady? Her skin texture on the face has turned into something elasticky/stretchy. Kwenzakalani ngo Mrs Stedman vese? Am i the only one feeling this? Segololo answer me LOL!

Another off topic, did anyone catch the King Goodwill Zwelithini story on the news about the Hillcrest house that was bought for him in 2005 but he refused to stay in it due to security reasons (He felt that there wasn't sufficient security for a person of his stature (yeah right???) to live there). Bearing in my mind that the house was 2.5 million and we tax payers have been paying for a house that hasn't been used for TREE YEARS??? What's ur take on this guys????

Really now who's a threat to to the King Zwelithini, who's even interested in what he does for him to be so concerned about his security. I even forget that he exists, he must get over himself. I am sure 5 security guards who be enough to look after him. He's living a luxurious life as it is and wants to us to dig deep into our pockets for what, that he might be attacked and house burgled? thats our every day normality as the ordinary citizens of this country. Why even a new house to start with?

@ Cnlemom, well  apparently he spends allot of time in in KZN so they thought it wastes a sh!t load of money to keep booking him a hotel when he is around town, so they decided to but him a house at Hillcrest the concept made sense hey?? But for 2.5 million, when it is only gionna be used occassionally damn man was that neccessary...............hayi man I am proudly Zulu and all, but umbhedo umbhedo......finidsh and kaar...........and the worst part is that that house has been not utilized for 3 years coz it's "supposedly" Goodwill's house!!!

People!!! i met a guy, i followed someone's advice that in order to get a good man you should stop being skanky and go and meet the good men. I met a guy on Saturday & we exchanged numbers. He's been calling me and all, so today he calls me to set up a date, im thinking, restaurant for drinks at a central place for both of us, Woodmead shopping centre is the place, so now we are thinking where we can meet, the only place that i can meet a potential man in that centre is News Cafe and so i suggested it, i could not beleive my ears when this guy said to me......... there is also a KFC and McDee, so he thinks we should meet at McDee.  WTF??????? nigga pleeeeze, i can bloody take myself to McDee for crying out loud!!!! and why would i want to meet you at McDee, you guys know how busy McDee is, there is long ques(sp) i knw this coz i love McDee. How the hell am i gonna hold down a conversation with those annoying "Next please"'????? im so depressed!!!! the way i was shocked, i told him i'll call him back. I can do a McDee date with a permanent boyfriend, not a first date, no thanks!!!!!
