Brotherhood 2

Brotherhood follows the lives of two brothers in the Providence, Rhode Island Irish-American neighbourhood known as “The Hill”. The blue-collar neighbourhood has roots in old-world ways of street justice and shady dealings.

Tommy Caffee (Jason Clarke) is a family man and local politician who is out to protect the community and its best interests. His world is turned around when his gangster brother Mike (Jason Isaacs) returns to “The Hill” to regain control of the seedy underworld.

In the premiere of the season: Tommy outmaneuvers U.S. Attorney Ellis Franklin as he and Eileen struggle to keep up the appearance of a happy marriage. Michael, who has no memory of his attacker at the wedding, tries to re-establish his territory with Freddie and asks Declan to investigate the source of his head injury. Declan spirals out of control as he finds himself shut out at work and at home.

Murphy's Law

An officer of the law becomes a wanted man while trailing a killer. Jack Murphy (Charles Bronson) is a police detective who helped to put Joan Freeman (Carrie Snodgress), a psychotic murderer, behind bars ten years ago. However, Joan is now back on the street and determined to get revenge on Jack.

She kills Jack's ex-wife and her new husband and frames the detective for the crime. Jack is arrested and taken into custody handcuffed to Arabella McGee (Kathleen Wilhoite), a rough-and-ready young hoodlum picked up for theft. Jack is able to escape and has to track down Joan in order to clear his name with Arabella as his unwitting accomplice.

The Escape

Col. Cooper (David Carridine) has been captured by the North Vietnamese and wheels and deals his way out of this predicament with the sleazy Vietnamese commandant, Capt. Vinh (Mako).

Vinh agrees to let Cooper and the other P.O.W.s leave if Cooper will take Vinh and his ill-gotten gains back with them to the United States. Cooper agrees and then has to struggle with the ever-frustrating Sparks (Charles R. Floyd), who thinks he knows better than anyone else about how to escape from the camp.

The motley crew set off into the jungle, encountering the enemy and a very uncooperative Mother Nature along the way.

Sunset

In Hollywood of the 1920s, Tom Mix (Bruce Willis), Hollywood's biggest cowboy star, has been hired to play Wyatt Earp, in the making of a film about the life of the legendary lawman Wyatt Earp. Veteran actor Tom Mix discovers that the real Earp (James Garner) is on the film set as a technical advisor. The two collide and inadvertently become a vivid backdrop for a shocking murder mystery.

Avenging Force

Michael Dudikoff plays a retired secret service agent who runs up against a sinister right-wing political organization called the Pentangle. He comes to the aid of his best friend, a black political candidate who has become a target for the Pentangle's henchmen.

Impressed by Dudikoff’s martial arts skills, the Pentangle leaders try to convince him to join their cause-and to ensure his cooperation, they kidnap his little sister.

Special effects man Rollie Tyler (Bryan Brown) makes his living simulating gory mayhem and photogenic violence for movies such as I Dismember Mama.

Tyler is given a chance to expand his professional horizons when he's approached by Lipton (Cliff DeYoung), who introduces himself as an FBI agent and makes an unusual proposal.

Mob kingpin Nicholas DeFranco (Jerry Orbach) is willing to testify against his fellow gangsters, but the investigators are worried about his safety. Lipton wants Tyler to help him and his staff fake DeFranco's assassination; if everyone is convinced DeFranco is dead, people will be a lot less likely to look for him.

Tyler grudgingly takes the assignment but now he's wanted for the murder of the man he just "shot." Tyler goes underground and tries to unravel the truth behind the Lipton murder.

Casualities Of War

Casualties of War is based on a New Yorker article by Daniel Lang which was inspired by a true incident that illustrated the dehumanizing aspects of the Vietnam experience.

Michael J. Fox plays Eriksson, a member of an American squadron stationed in the deepest jungles of Southeast Asia. Sean Penn co-stars as Meserve, the squadron sergeant, who vows revenge after his best friend is killed.

He orders his men to invade a village and "requisition" a young Vietnamese girl (Thuy Thu Lee), who is repeatedly tied, gagged and gang-raped. The horrified Eriksson refuses to participate in these atrocities, and he does his best to console the girl and to attempt to free her. Before this can happen, however, Meserve orders another man to kill the girl.

Once he returns to camp, Eriksson attempts to file a report on the tragedy and to bring Meserve and the others to justice, but he is stonewalled by the brass and threatened with death by his fellow soldiers. Eventually Meserve and his co-conspirators are jailed for their crimes, but Eriksson can never forget his "compliance" in the incident by failing to save the girl.

House Of The Hauted Hill

In this remake of William Castle's 1958 camp-classic, an eccentric millionaire named Steven Price invites a diverse group of people to a reputedly haunted mansion that was formerly the site of an insane asylum.

Steven offers his guests $1,000,000 each if they can spend the entire night at the old house without fleeing in terror. It sounds simple enough, but when the stories about ghosts haunting the mansion turn out to be true, the guests may no longer opt to stick around.

In this version, Steven is played by Geoffrey Rush, and his guests include Jeffrey Combs, Taye Diggs, Peter Gallagher, Chris Kattan, Bridgette Wilson, Famke Janssen plays Evelyn Price.

Kiss Of The Dragon

This action thriller by filmmaker Luc Besson stars Jet Li as Liu Jian, a Chinese intelligence officer in Paris on an assignment that finds him in the midst of an international conspiracy.

When Liu's investigation gets too close to uncovering the truth, his life is seriously jeopardized and he's forced to creatively employ his martial arts skills, which include using a pool ball and the French flag as defensive props. In the meantime, romantic sparks fly between Liu and a sexy witness (Bridget Fonda), while the agent discovers that a trusted French peer (long-time Besson featured player Tcheky Karyo) is actually the double-crossing criminal mastermind he's seeking.

Turbulence

Serial killer Ryan Weaver (Ray Liotta) gets loose in the plane which is taking him to prison. Suicidal, he manages to kill or incapacitate the pilot, co-pilot and navigator, only to have his death wish thwarted by the brave actions of flight attendant Teri Halloran (Lauren Holly).

Teri manages to keep the plane in the air and more or less on course with groundside help from air traffic controller Sam Bowen (Ben Cross). Teri is Weaver's favourite type of victim and he has made her believe that he may be innocent. Will she be able to resist the killer's sinister charm and save the plane?

Shaft

Crime. Vanessa L. Williams; Samuel L. Jackson. 2000. John Singleton.

John Shaft (Samuel L Jackson), the namesake nephew of the legendary private eye (Richard Roundtree), is a street-smart police detective who with his partner Carmen Velez (Vanessa L. Williams) has been assigned to a racially motivated murder case, in which a black college student was killed in front of a restaurant by Walter Williams Jr. (Christian Bale), the sociopathic son of a New York construction tycoon, who then fled the country rather than face prosecution.

Diane Palmieri (Toni Collette), a waitress on a smoke break, saw the murder, but she doesn't want to talk to the police. Two years later, Walter is forced to return to New York, but without Diane's testimony, the city doesn't have much of a case.

Soon, Shaft, Walter Junior, and Walter Senior's goons are all looking for Diane, with Junior enlisting the help of Peoples Hernandez (Jeffrey Wright), a small-time drug dealer who will do anything to move into the big leagues. Shaft and Carmen find Diane, but discover that she had a good reason for being on the lam for the past two years.

Sleepy Hollow

Washington Irving's tale of Ichabod Crane and the Headless Horseman gets a few new twists in a screen adaptation directed by Tim Burton. In this version, Ichabod (Johnny Depp) is a New York City detective whose unorthodox techniques and penchant for gadgets make him unpopular with is colleagues.

He is sent to the remote town of Sleepy Hollow to investigate a series of bizarre murders, in which a number of people have been found dead in the woods, with their heads cut off. Local legend has it that a Hessian ghost rides through the woods on horseback, lopping off the heads of the unsuspecting and unbelieving.

Ichabod refuses to believe in this legend, convinced that there must be a logical explanation for the murders. In time, Ichabod becomes smitten with a local lass, Katrina Van Tassel (Christina Ricci), who is the sweetheart of the burly Brom Bones (Casper Van Dien), and he becomes determined to capture the murderer to prove his bravery and win her heart.

Ends Of Days

1999 proved a banner year for screen portrayals of Satan's love life: first his relationship with Saddam Hussein went under the microscope in South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut and a few months later his search for a girl to settle down with became the basis of this thriller.

With the millennium approaching, a series of disturbing signs suggests that Satan has returned to Earth and is walking the streets of New York City. It seems that Satan needs to find a woman who will bear his child, as the time for the arrival of the anti-Christ draws near.

A woman named Christine (Robin Tunney) believes that she has seen the Devil and felt his presence, and it's up to Jericho Cane (Arnold Schwarzenegger), a former policeman turned elite bodyguard, to keep her safe from The Dark Lord. End of Days was both directed and photographed by Peter Hyams; Kevin Pollak, Renee Olstead, and Udo Kier are among the supporting cast.
