I have heard collegues and former Bloggers who arent returning telling me that TVSA is becoming a BORE and now i have seen it. There are people who turn this site into a jungle and unfortunately there is nopthing You Spice or I TDC can do about it..!

What happened to TVSA for it to allow people to post one sentences as blogs? Yes, this topic (?) concerns and worries all of us, but by logging in continuously and trying to contribute as much as we can, says that we do wanna keep THIS (the site, the friendships, the community) going. 

Why dont we stop asking: "heeee, heee, what happened, " and DO something about it. Whatever YOU wanna read about, put it up, keep fresh, new ideas flowing, and we will definately support. I for one am not going anywhere as we have a good thing going here.

Mina kodwa I love this place, there was a time when I thought things are going a bit downhill, but lately things are seeming better, but having said that things are certainly not their best and the sad part is that we have been down this road b4, so what's new about saying the same thing over and over again, when very soon, another interesting blog is gonna come up on our screens and this issue will be burried once again????

Monchooza yazi there are people that forget ukuthi thina abanye we made this place to be our second home...! I mean to some of us it is personal than it actually seems so some folks go like " ah *bleep!* its the internet after all" and please note i wrote *bleep!* intentionally if anyone has an issue with it let m know. Kim Possible, I understand why u are lost, mngani remember wena u are NEW, and the thing is when u came a few weeks ago, the site had just picked up a little from where it was, I know it's fun for u now, but ke bleieve me TVSA was at another level,what u are enjoying now is nothing compared to how it wa b4, thina we had abo Beyonce, Lahvee, amongst others that were blogging 24/7 and we used to have fun all the time, there were no personal attacks and things were just beautiful, do u get what I am saying my Buzum Kimmy?????

Spice: as a concerned blogga who misses the old TVSA, i would like to tell you that this has been done before, Luke even disciplined everyone but things went back to normal for a little while and then pple got back to their habits. Frankly i dont enjoy being here as much as i used to. i think everyone jsut wants to point fingers at the GOLD status and other pple, blaming other people and not looking at themselves, it is very easy to point fingers but the problem lies in people's heads and egos!!!!! if i dont make sense forgive me but  thts my 2c worth. i understand yo concern fully but if these has to stop something drastic has to be done.

Fyi,  I have no idea what the last part means - Namibian with language challenges over here.  I think that TDC, Toxic, Kele, Shuga, Sego, and all the other writers do an excellent job.  TDC and Kele constantly try to come up with inovative ways to keep the interaction going.  Shuga keep us abreast with the happenings in celeb world (I feel so guilty because I now know more about SA celebs than I do about the celebs in my own country). I can go and on...  then we have the TV writers,..  they are so entertaining that I am even updated on programmes that appear on SABC1,2,3 and e-tv and I do not have access to those channels.

I have no idea how they do it, providing us with new material constantly.  Because I struggle just to get my work updated,.. let alone writing.  I applaud them ...  I am hooked to TVSA because of them. 

Kim, I would love to write more.  I love writing.  But I simply do not have the time. Unfortunately, this time of the year work life is hectic.  However, I do think that the awesome writers of TVSA are doing an excellent job.

Hey ya'll. thanks Spice for posing the question. When I first joined TVSA it was fun. I could not resist logging on everyday. Now it has become a total bore. Articles and the replies used be so intertaining, intelligent at times and down right amusing. Now the site has become 5 people's diary post. There are still guys who post great articles and some of us will spoil them by posting ridiculous replies that often has nothing to do with the topic. This days I just go straight to the guestbook of the few friends I have made here. It's sad because this was a wonderful platform for us to express ourselves and let our inhibition go.

Hi people!

I'm trully surprised that a topic like this has come about...AGAIN! I'm even more surprised spice that you are the one who started it...let me explain.

Blaming tvsa gold is not the issue. Since tvsa went Gold i've read and replied to alot of interesting and informative blogs which may or may not have anything to do with television. The problem is when people tend to take advantage of "free" blogging and blog about stupid, unnecessary things! People also used to take pride in how they present their articles and you would actually think this was something meant for eg a magazine/newspaper. Nowadays copying and pasting, 1 paragraph blogs and not to mention 1 sentence blogs seem to be the  norm. And the same people who are complaining now are the ones that reply repeatedly to those blogs so I don't see what you're complaining about. Note I'm not referring to every tvsa blogger here.

Also, it's not nice writing a blog that you think will appeal to some people here and it goes unnoticed as people aren't really interested in it. My point is, look at the blogs home page, there are a number of very interesting articles there but so many people are not interested in them!

One more thing, referring specifically to what Baby-A did yesterday, I believe it was childish and uncalled for. Posting a reply on each and every blog calling people to come to the Did You Know Blog was highly unnecessary. In case you haven't noticed people go to the blogs they want to go in and if they don't want to be in there they find somewhere else to go! What you did was basically say what the writer of this article wrote is not worthy of reading and y'all people should go this way...really I was highly unimpressed by this. In fact, I was ticked off!

I have no problem with what people go on about (as long as it's not in MY blog!). Some things I feel are just overdone and have become redundant eg the Did You Know blog. TDC no offense but this is not about scoring points. Obviously some people still love it; ie ama BBB or something like that, as they keep on replying but I personally think (and have tried hinting this to you but to no avail) that it's best to quit while you're ahead. Your idea of the blog was an interesting one in the beginning but now haai mina I'm just not feeling it. And like I said, this is no attack, I'm just stating my own personal feelings.

Those are my words and I'm sticking to them! To be honest this site does not appeal as much as it used to. The only time I come here is when I see an article I find interesting is up that I would like to reply to.

I created this article beacuse I wanted people to express their concerns not attack or critisize each other or me.
 right now I'm trying to be as calm as possible because i told maself gore insults,unconstructive critisism  and senseless arguments only makes me look stupid so I'm gonna let it pass

Faraigmagic, BBB means Best Buzum Buddies as well as Beautiful Brainy Babes, it came about as a joke coz of the way a certain group of lady bloggers clicked myself INCLUDED, and it's not descrimination, obviously in any family, there will be a certain amount of people that will have a stronger friendship bond together than the rest of family, I don't know if we were foolish as BBB's to allow ourseves to create too much of a sistahood through blogging.  But ke it's just that there are times when we can't help but show just how much TVSA has done for us in terms of caring for a person as if u grew up with them. Please try to understand that it's not any form of descrimination or rather if that is how u feel, let me tell u that as Nonny that was not the inteneded idea, but ke if it makes u feel descrimnated, kindly advise us the BBB's of a suitable solution and we shall consider exploring ur solution!!!!
Another thing, in nature, I love being jokeful and living on the lighter side of life, that way I don't take things personally kalula, but in the same breath if anyone feels that it's going overboard for them, all they need to do is let me know and I shall back of IMMEDIATELY, becuase that way u know what are the humour preferences of each individual.  Guys nobody is perfect, it's no use pointing one finger at a few people, when four fingers are pointing right back at you, let us work together by restoring the fun and not forgeting the human aspect to TVSA, rather than ukuzizakala kongu phambuka kwabanje...............(I'm sorry for the Zulu at the end, sometimes when I am too passionate about something, I tend to loose my English!!!)

I have been on TVSA for a year only, and i have noticed the change. 
Nothing is wrong with the Gold, and like KFab i also like the articles that arent TV related. 

At some point yesterday i was hoping TDC would say thats enough and close replies on Did you know. 

I miss Lavhee, Tizoz, Bee and Marara's singing.  Dont blame them for being strangers though, I find there is often nothing worth replying to.

All in all, not meaning to offend anyone, but there is a new childish crowd.

@ Kele…you’ve raised some pretty good points gal.

Now that that is out of the way. This is what I’ve observed thus far:

1. Oh let’s all be cool: Adult interactions shouldn’t always be about who’s cool & who’s not- aren’t we supposed to be over that by now? I dare ask this but it begs the question. Why is it that so much bullying and ganging up have become the order of the day? All this smells of playground antics to me.
2. Let’s form Cliques: Quite frankly most of what’s posted on these bloggs should have gone straight to GBs or into PMs.
3. I’m the boss & what I say goes: As for power trips and favouritism…the less said the better. This might burn some fanny’s but if it does please don’t expose yourself on this blogg rather post a response on my GB unless of course there’s a challenge to reach an explosive number of replies. Don’t’ bother trying to formulate an argument or a comeback - I refuse to entertain trivialities…!
4. The silent blogger: This is the term that best describes me and a lot of people I’ve grown to like and appreciate on TVSA. I won’t be naming anyone because they know who they are. I choose not to name these people purposefully as I’ve grown tired of the love declarations that are so misdirected and that more often than not detract from the article’s intended purpose.

This might not sit well with most but quite frankly as I’ve said these are my observations and Spice I hope that my response serves as somewhat of an answer to the question you’ve posed.

People have been flogged for less so if this too warrants a flogging please do as you please.

PS: I watch generations with a hopeful heart that things might get better so I do the same with TVSA. I’m here most days and I always look out for the inspiration to write again for that one article that will lift my spirits and for the mgosi that’s just so priceless. More importantly though I stay for the personalities I’ve grown to love and the people who have no malice and who tell it like it is without being spiteful.

I joined a TVSA a couple of weeks ago and I should mention that when i saw the site i thought that this is where i wanna be because it was fun and the replies to articles were so mature, funny but they were not insulting in any way.

NOT UNTIL I WROTE MY FIRST BLOGG......Kwabe ngiziyalile...There were rude comments and horrible replies. Though i should say that didnt make me wanna leave the site instead i wrote more to show other youngies here that i know how to write and its them who have a problem.

I dont think that the site is boring but  bealive that it can get better than this. Just as long as the communities stop because one really feels left out when people start talking about their friendships and all.
