Casual DAY!!!

What is Casual Day?

Casual Day is a FUNdraising project benefiting persons with disabilities. Each year we call upon everybody to dress differently on the first Friday of September and to wear the Casual Day sticker to show their support for disabled people.

Every1 I hope u are doing just that…wear bright colours and buy your sticker to show how much you care…

Bt for buying the sticker you not only show how much you care bt how much you love and care for your community. I DID JUST THAT…bought a sticker..I know Monchooza is wearing his now.

I dedicate this day to ESAM…my late nephew!!!
In 1999 my lovely sister gave birth to ESAM who was disabled…at first we could not see that…I knew in my heart he was different and so special. He could not speak, walk and did nothing some of the kids his age did. One thing he could and I would remember him by was his smile and the way he looked at people..especially his mother. I love him so much and I MISS him…he died at age 7 and he had changed my life.

Makazi will never forget you Ndoda...always love you

look how cute these kids are!!!

Imagine you can not speak and impress how you feel, imagine you can not walk and see how wonderful the nature is and imagine u cannot see or hear anything and yet u are alive. I cherish them and I don’t go oooh shame when I see them…their mids could not be disabled,Just do something to help if you can.

HAPPY CASUAL DAY ma bloggers!!!

i have always stood for and supported casual day. i have 5 stickers on and i look absolutely ridiculous in my  ex cheerleading uniform and stockings and heels! @ least my boyfriend is driving me everywhere today! he too bough t5 stickers and we're all round donaters. we're 21 and 22 so we don't have any of our kids yet but we always give a hand to those in need.

tshomi this is a great one i know uEsam is smiling in heaven at you!!!
This was really touching for me as I am living with my cousin who was born with a cleft plate,,correct me Bee if im wrong but she had to undergo operations when she was small so that she could have a proper nose and mouth and also a few
of her fingers,,, everyday i look at her and feel proud as for all that she has been through at school and in the community she never lets anything get her down!!!
she is now in Grade 8 and is doing well!! at a normal school!!

so people lets get out there and support people with disabilities!!!

Casual Day is a very good cause and needs people to step out of their comfort zones and actually do something.

For me casual day is everyday. I wear sneakers and jeans to work. And there is no dress code.

Nice article Zhico.

sounds like ur little nephew was a real angel Zhico. i guess it was a blessing he was in ur lives even for a short time.

not to be controversial or anything but personally i find it hard to support such causes when they show only the white/coloured face of it. it's very rare to find pics of black people who go thru the same thing, as if they don't count...
