Good morning ppl, so sorry for the late bus but sometimes technology decides to be your enermy.. Cape Town was so cold and pouring last night, even my laptop froze while I was posting the blog. This is my 4th attempt on posting this. Got an error message 2 times in a row early this morning..lets try again...
It has been another week at The Deep, not that much action but I’ll bring it to you anyway. So if you missed Isidingo between 18 - 22 June, then this is your chance to play catch up.
Alec is back
We’ve been asking for it and it has finally happened. Alec (Lee’s man) is back in town. He phoned Lee and as they spoke, Lee asked him to call her later. He said he’ll do better than that, he will see her later. Lee got excited and Alec told her that he’ll be at Lanseria airport later that night. Lee was smiling ear to ear. If I were Alec, I would've just to rocked up and surprised Lee. But then again never surprise anyone unless you are sure of your story. Ever heard of “The surprise may surprise the supriser”?? Well he’s back in town and that’s all that matters, Lee’s ice will certainly be melted. He was looking for a place to stay but Lee told him to stay with her as long as he wants. Alec was just being indirect; he knows that deep down he wanted Lee to offer him to stay with her.
The two lovers already had their first fight. Lee is tired of their unstable relationship. She'll never know when he’d have to move to another country. So she told him to go see Frank and maybe he might have some job for him. Lee must just understand that her man is adrenalin driven, so I don’t think Frank can offer him a job that would make him happy. Lee on the other hand should have some serious counseling - Alec was watching something on TV and there was a gunshot, Lee jumped out her skin but told Alec that she was okay. Get some help girl - Isidingo gives a counseling hotline number at the end of the show. That might come in handy.
Alec even met Rajesh…..sigh…. I cannot believe he dragged Alec into the Cherel hunt. Alec is still confused. Okay I saw yesterday's episode. Alec has joined the Cherel hunt but he’ll try to cover his tracks so Lee doesn’t find out.
Q is for Qobekile (translation: Bored)
I created the hype of how Q may look like. Ziyanda’s “younger” brother!!!!! Now why the hell are they bringing us a 30 yr old man?? Well I’m assuming Buyile is 30, coz he looks older than Ziyanda!! Entlik how old is this Q supposed to be?? Couldn’t they find a younger brada?? Buyile we know you’re an excellent actor; we just didn’t expect uBhuti to join the cast of Isidingo under the banner of “younger brother”. Oh well, I guess we’ll wait and see what Manqoba “Q” Mazibuko has in store for us. Ok that’s out of the way… back to recap…
Q was arrested in Bulgaria for sleeping with the mayor’s daughter in public and had a bag of cocaine with him. (ok that was also clarified in yesterday’s episode so I’m jumping the gun a bit). Barker managed to bail him out and get him on a plane back to SA. On the other hand Ziyanda... nooh man its Siyanda. (Yah I realized I’ve been calling her Ziyanda)…where was I??... Yah... Siyanda asked Vusi if he can find her brother work to keep him busy and if possible a place to stay. I don’t know why she had to ask Vusi, those are the kind of favours you ask your man, clearly she’s forgetting that Vusi aint hers.
Vusi spoke to Zeb who agreed to employ Q on the housing 
development. He also told them (Zeb and Agnes) that Q will also be staying at his cottage. Ma’Agnes irritated the hell out of me when she told Vusi that he cannot allow a stranger to stay in the same yard as them. Ma’Agnes shut the hell up, it aint your house. She hinted that she knew about Q being arrested (thanks to Stella) and when Vusi asked what she meant, she just said “I hate gossiping about other people”. Eggie must not get ahead of herself.
Lets just say that she was able to convince Maggie to take him in as a tenant. Lettie was also not thrilled about a stranger living with them, not just a stranger, Siyanda’s brother. We all know Lettie doesn’t like Miss S!
Was waiting for Q’s debut but Barker told Siyanda that he’ll be landing on Monday, so the week went by with no Q. So more on Q next week when I recap this week’s episodes.
Georgie’s Taal
All this IsiZulu learning gave Lolly, Nan’ and Lettie an idea for a show/slot on live time. They pitched the idea of having a slot where they teach different languages of South Africa to Frank, who told them to find a producer. The girls chose Natasha who absolutely loved the idea. The 4sum also had an idea of having Papa G teach Tsotsi taal. A standard contract was drawn up for Georgie but Slu wanted to be his agent. I wont elaborate on this, you know how anything with Slu always ends up as nothing but humour. So basically the 4sum is putting a language programme together.
What is up with Lolly??
The crazy things we do for lahv? Well that’s what I think Lolly is 
doing. Here’s what I think is up with Lolly.
1. She’s jealous of Farrow and Len’s relationship because she cant understand how a girl who hardly washes her hair lands a man. Or…
2. She’s in love with Len and she’s only realizing it now that he’s in love with Farrow.
Sandy Ross (remember her??) came to see Lolly to update her on what has been happening in her life after the (false) rape accusation on Len. She seems to be dealing with things because she told Lolly that she laid charges against her uncle and he was sentenced. She asked how Len was doing and Lolly told her that he’s got a new girlfriend. Lolly was hoping that the news would hurt Sandy somehow, but she was genuinely happy for him.
Since Lolly didn’t get the kind of response she needed, she made another plan. She invited Farrow for coffee at Papa G’s. When she arrived she was surprised when Sandy joined them and Lolly introduced them to each other as Len ex and Len’s girlfriend (Lolly lost it). The girls didn’t mind each other’s company until Lolly asked Sandy to tell her story, Sandy was reluctant but Lolly pushed until Sandy told the story. She didn’t even get far when she mentioned the rape accusation against Len. Farrow flipped out, she asked Lolly what she was trying to achieve. Lolly just told her that she wanted her to see that Len only deals with damaged girls. (who’s she to dzudze (judge) other people??). Farrow stormed out.
Anton’s final request…
Remember Anton’s infuriating near death experience? Well Farrow decided to break up with Len because she blames him for her brother’s suicide attempt. Anton injected Paracetamol (I think I heard correctly) into his drip and if Farrow didn’t find him in time he would’ve been dead (damn Farrow must learn to mind her own biz). The Doctor told her that the effects the paracetamol had on Anton are irreversible, his liver has been damaged so he’ll eventually die (I smiled a bit - definately cant wait for that day).
Farrow apologized to Lee for accusing her of attempted murder. She also apologized to Anton for not being there for him. (I thought I was push over, mara Farrow takes the crown, and a gold medal and the trophy - dayuumm!! Either that or she’s really dum).
Len went to the hospital alone to try talking some sense into that boy. He told him that he has tried to kill himself but he’s still alive, so clearly life is giving him a second..no make that a 27th chance. Farrow walked in and asked Len to leave because Anton started behaving like a 3yr old boy throwing his toys out of the cot. Len came back the next day to speak to Anton and that’s when Anton loosened up. The boys decided that they will work together because they both care about Farrow. Farrow was happy to see her favourite men laughing.
That was until Anton asked Len to bring him brandy in the hospital because he needs a “dop”. Len refused point blank telling him that he’s not going to have his death on his conscious because Anton is aware the he will die once the brandy reacts with his medication. He begged Len for the brandy and Len left. (I honestly thought would give him the booze, but clearly Len is full of surprises). When Farrow arrived to see Anton, he lied and told her sister that Len offered him a bottle of brandy to get rid of him so he can have her all to himself. When Farrow heard this she was angry at Len for trying to kill her brother and angry at him for not telling her about the rape charges.
Len couldn’t believe his ears, he took Farrow to hospital to ask Anton for the truth. He(Anton) admitted that he wanted the Brandy because he wants to die. The last scene was of Anton saying “Please let me die - I just want to die".

We can all see the Lolly is love with Len and she’s trying to break up his relationship with Farrow, under the pretence of caring about her.
So have you done anything stupid to catch someone’s attention? Or have you heard or know of any crazy stories where people did some stupid things in the name of lahv?
