Without wasting anytime, lets get straight into it.... Hello my people...
Rajesh…(sigh) is still on a Cherel hunt – Amen!! That’s all I’ll say!! Well one thing I appreciated is IsiD for giving an extra a chance to speak and actually act. He's that tall, dark, Venda-looking extra, who's always hovering around the ON!TV newsroomThe Venda looking one?? Okay before Venda people get offended, that extra looks Venda because to me he looks like Chief Azwindini - I actually call him Azwindini!! So ke the Venda-extra actually had a few lines and a whole scene to act out!!! Maybe it’s the start for him.
Nikki’s troubles…
Remember that cop that came to see Nikki asking about Phil? The same cop that Nikki was afraid would come back to question her, while her mom is home?? Well he came, and found Natasha. Let me just say he was kind enough to update Natasha on her daughter’s dealings while in London. When Nikki came home from an interview, her mother told her about the cop and the first question Tash asked her daughter was “Did you use protection”. When Nikki said yes, she looked so relieved.
Nikki told her mom exactly what happened in London: After she got fired, Phil told Nikki to use the emergency money to buy leather jackets to sell and make a profit. The problem was, she never saw the money. She then discovered that Phil was using cocaine. Phil convinced her to try it and she did. She swears she only tried it once. Her mother doesn’t believe her,s he's convinced that her daughter is using. After seeing her husband lie about using drugs, she’s just scared that it could be history repeating itself.
When the cop arrived (again), he asked if Phil hasn’t contacted Nikki. She denied it – she was lying through her fat cheeks. Phil has contacted her, he told her that he’s on his way to SA. Natasha begged Nikki to tell her as soon as Phil contacts her again. I got to the point where I turned my volume down when Nikki and her mother spoke to each other. Each scene ended up with them shouting at each other and Nikki running off. Huuuwwwiiiieeeee!!!! I don’t remember a time I shouted at my mother, she shouted at me of course – back when I was a kid. When she called my name in full, I knew I was in trouble and she would threaten to hit me with a wet dish cloth (ifaduku). Sigh…memories…!!!
Phil called and this time Calvin answered the phone. He told Phil to stop calling Nikki!! Eish acting like a protective boyfie neh… ok actually that was sweet, he’s just protecting Nikki in a brotherly way. Phil told him that he’s got Nikki’s address and her mom’s phone number. Calvin didn’t tell Nikki this piece of information, until he came home and told Nikki that someone is watching their house. It was funny how he described the man watching the house. “He has on a black suite, brown hair, bla bla” what killed me was him saying a “Lapel” but see Calvin is ‘n Cape coloured and it killed me how he said “Lyapyel” eheheeh. I still can’t get used it…. A belt is a byelt, the letter “L” is pronounced “E-yel”. Sup Kyalvin (Calvin)!!! Its looks like Phil has found Nikki, I wonder who they have got to act as this creepy Phil! We’ll wait and see what Phil wants from Nikki.
Lettie’s Pride
Lettie was being a baby, sulking for her mom’s attention. Nandipha is stealing all the shine with her embroidery work. Her son Neo was going to be in a nursery school play as a bunny, so the teacher asked that the parents to get their children costumes. Lettie being the proud woman she is, turned Ma’Agnes down when she said she’d love to make it. Lettie insisted that she’ll make it herself. The problem is she can’t sew to save her life, she was getting frustrated trying to put the costume patterns together. Nandipha felt sorry for her, but Ma’Agnes told her to leave Lettie to figure out herself.
Almost fell off my couch when I saw how beautiful Nandipha looked in her new hair!! Nandipha read this blog and listened!!!!
Lettie eventually finished the new costume, but while putting some finishing touches, the problem was...: the tail was long. I don’t know about you, but I’ve never seen a bunny with a long tail. The award for creativity goes to Lettie!!! Lettie’s creativity made Neo angry!! The kids were laughing at him, saying he looks more like a dog than a bunny! That was funny! Lettie was too proud to ask her mom to fix it, she considered buying it for R1500 and for Vusi to pay for it (Ey, the mine manager's wife!!). When Ma’Agnes heard about this bizarre idea, she ran home to make Neo a new bunny costume. Ma’Agnes saves the day again!!!
The tension between Lettie, Nandipha & Ma’Agnes was broken when they got together to help the kids learn their lines for the play. The whole exercise helped Lettie and her mom to find each other as it ended in laughs.
The Total Fight Club fights
Now that Len is the new owner of TFC, ON!TV is trying to have the show as their own. Lee hates the show, she never wanted it to go on air in the first place, calling it trashy! She also hates anything to do with Cherel and since the show was Cherel’s idea, Lee is trying everything in her power to get rid of the show. She offered Len R250 000 to buy him out. Len didn’t hesitate to sign the contract. Lets just say – Len is R250 000 richer and Lee will sell TFC to the highest bidder. Of course no one knows about this deal except for the two of them.
Lee’s money might help her have control over TFC but no amount of money would help her get her life in order! She’s still wants Cherel to be left alone, but it like seems no one (Rajesh & Barker) is listening. In her state of panic she phoned her man who is miles away. Where is he anyway? She was just feeling lonely and her man was there to listen…ncooh…that was so sweet. Alec must come back, (she actually asked him to), he must be with his woman – especially now when she needs him most. I liked how they hooked up – when she cheated on Rajesh. Those were hott steamy scenes – now we are still waiting for Vusanda’s hott sizzling scenes! Long distance relationships are such a challenge…as much as I love my space, I can’t handle the long distance relationship space… no nohh.. Alec.. Come back already, it would be nice seeing some love on IsiD. No one is love. The soapy feels so cold!!!
Len’s Farrow
Len conveniently bumps into Farrow lately. He gave her a compliment about her being a strong woman – considering all the ish she went through. Farrow was touched by Len’s kind words. I don’t know if Lolly is being overprotective of Farrow, or she’s being jealous or just needing a damn life. She keeps telling her that Len is wrong for her. Let her make her own mistakes Lolly, maybe if you put the same energy into finding your own man, you’d leave Farrow alone.
While Lolly was telling Farrow about Len the Devil, Len walked up to them to ask Farrow out. She accepted, Len asked Lolly if she wants to join them, before she could even utter a word, Farrow reminded her of the thing she was supposed to do that night. Basically it was her way of saying “No Lolly, I don’t want you there, mind your f****ing business”. Seems Farrow is also a fan of this blog, she actually washed her hair and actually put make up on, she’s actually is a bit pretty... I think she would look nicer if her hair was shorter… cut her hair like Halle Berry!! I don’t know what they call that hairstyle, but I know you feel me. Hmm now that she has a rich boyfriend (Len), he must take her for a shopping spree because Farrow's clothes give new meaning to vintage!!!

That brings me to the end of the recap. I fell asleep somewhere during the omnibus.. I heard Lee & Rajesh fight over Cherel and Anton’s voice somewhere in the mix. So I hope I didn’t miss any juice.. I doubt it though, if I did, I’ll catch up.
Lee and Alec brought this to my mind: I know this question is old and done to death. My friend has someone who loves her, they make a wonderful couple, they know everything about each other, both single – Yah I know its perfect - BUT...she says she likes him but will not go out with him because he’s in the Eastern Cape and she’s in Cape Town.
Since my long distance relationships never worked, I need to know if there’s someone out there who’s made it (long distance) work. I don’t want to be the shoulder for her to cry on when she realises that she let a good man go – and I don’t want her to be the one who stands up when the preacher says “Speak now or forever hold your piece!”!! I wont be able to help her pick up the pieces!!!
So here’s the (done to death) question again?? Do long distance relationships work??
