Horizon Deep Bus is back with the recap of last week’s episodes (21-25 May). The theme that was highlighted mostly was family matters - Jealosy, trust, love, you get the drift mos'?? You dont?? then read on....!! I know its late...eish guys its a hectic week - that's all I'll say.

The Moletsane - Matabane Family

Nandipha is back home and feeling well, she’s treated with utmost care and given too much attention, you know - it’s “Nandipha this and Nandipha that”. Lettie got really jealous when her mother told Nan’ that she takes her as her own daughter. Ma’Agnes had asked her to join the sewing club with ladies from her church. Nandipha turned her down because she can’t sew, she later changed her mind because Parsons told her that his mother wants to feel needed, and asked if she could try it out. Ma'Agnes?? attention?? You dont say!!! She (Nan') became the hit with the ladies, learning very fast and being very creative. Ma’Agnes being the proudest keeps telling her family that Nandipha is doing so well.
Nandipha had these corduroy pants with different shades of brown stripes with a red top. She looked really, really horrible…I think she should get braids again, she looks prettier with braids.

Lettie on the other hand got the new job and will be working late hours. Her family thinks she’s crazy to take a night job - “what about Neo?” they ask. Eish that woman should not wear polo-necks, she looked like she had no neck. She was obviously nervous on her debut night especially when there were some problem & she was asked to adlib. We all know Lettie is not very confident and that make her look a bit blonde. I think her character can do better than that.

The next morning on the breakfast table, Ma’Agnes was showing off Nandipha’s sewing. Lettie asked if anyone saw her debut on the new show - no one saw her because they went to bed early. Yooh I would also get mad when my family don’t support me. Even Vusi forgot about it, he was busy working!!!!! Dayyuuummm!!! When she tried to explain how it was, she was just cut off mid sentence and all attention went to Nandipha and her sewing. So I don’t blame Lettie for being mad. It was even worse when she overheard Ma’Agnes tell the sewing ladies that Nandipha is the best makoti she could ever ask for, as she helps around the house and helps with Neo. Neo seems to be liking auntie Nandipha as well.

When Lettie got good feedback from Frank, she was determined to make this new slot work. It wasn’t given to her permanently, she’ll just fill in 1 or 2 days a week. Vusi was being very critical of her not being able to be with Neo especially when she works at night. She told him that all she needs is his support as she wants to grow her career.

The Raibow Family

Frank’s builders are liquidated so he and his son must find a new place to stay. Calvin is the one pushing for a new flat as he is feeling out of place. Natasha begged them to stay, but Frank eventually decided that they will move out.

Troubled Nikki got a call “I told you to stop calling me, there is no more money okay” and she hung up. This girl is in deep trouble. The call came in again: “I don’t know where Phil is, he’s in the UK and I’m not. Nooo I don’t know where Phil is!!.” As if that’s not enough, policeman came to ask her some question about a certain Phil from Britain. Apparently this Phil is involved in shop lifting of genuine leather products and jewellery. The cop asked if Nikki worked for him!! It was also revealed that Nikki was dating this Phil. Calvin was listening to all of this and Nikki begged him not to tell her mother. He promised to keep quiet as long as she helped him with a biology drawing he was struggling with.

This is the mysterious Phil: He’s 28, British and Nikki liked his smile. Phil challenged Nikki to open a business with him and when things were not working out (money wise), he threatened to kill her - so that’s why she came home running.

Natasha found out that Nikki used R30 000 from the emergency credit card. I dont know why Nikki thought her mother would never find out. She'll get bank statements you know!!! She felt so angry and betrayed by her daughter. Nikki lied about how she had a fight with the barmen who never paid her, so she needed money for rent and food. But when Frank and Natasha did calculations, there is no way she would have used the whole 30Grand!

Now that her mother knows about the money, Nikki is terrified that the police man may come back to question her when her mother is home! Still angry, Natasha found Nikki doing Biology drawings for Calvin’s homework, she took out her anger at Calvin telling him that he must do his own homework from now on.

The damn Bornmans

Anton wants to die (Yippppeeee). Lolly and Farrow are still trying to find out if Anton wrote that suicidal email - so her sister showed it to him; he remembered that he confirmed that he sent it. He feels that he has no reason to live. Farrow keeps reminding him that she's his reason for living...
Farrow let him gooooo man!!!!!

Len saw Lolly and Farrow chatting and introduced himself. Lolly told Len to stay away from Farrow because it seems like he gets attracted to damaged girls, and he never helps the girls he’s been with - he just makes their situation worse (ouch). She made reference to Tanya, Sandi and now Farrow!! That’s true hey, all the girl Len has laid his hands on have either committed suicide or gone Psycho! Everytime Lolly told Len to leave, Farrow kept on saying “Lolly its fine”, seems like Farrow is charmed big time. Especially when he told her that he knows what she’s going through (having someone who’s suicidal in your life) and she should hang in there. Aow Len, so thoughtful of you!!

That stupid Anton realized that he is lying in a hospital bed because he wanted to commit suicide. He’s also happy that he will claim from the Road Accident Fund (RAF). Her sister tried to convience him that it would be illegal because it was not an “accident”. He told her that they can have some money as long as they stick to the same story. This was until the cops came and told him that there was a witness who saw Anton jump in from of the car. So now he might go to jail for culpable homicide because the driver of the car that hit him died.

The (only) Kumar!!

Rajesh is still looking for Cherel - but mostly for the child that could be his. He received a call from his PI, telling him that he saw Cherel at Vereeniging and will locate her. Wasn’t Cherel somewhere in Africa?? Im not even going to waste my breath about how I feel about this Cherel thing.... sighhhhhhh

The Haines

Lee is understandably paranoid, she see’s Cherel look-a-likes everywhere she goes. In her desperate need to find out where Cherel is, she called Vusi and arranged to meet with him. When they met, he told her that he’s been seeing visions about Cherel again. According to Vusi, someone close to Cherel will die. I sure hope it’s that child she’s carrying - so Rajesh can stop with his crazy obsession to find his child. Maybe then life will go back to normal. Lee is panicking that Vusi could be referring to her, her father or Rajesh. Sigh…

The Cooper Fight Club

AR’s for THE TOTAL FIGHT CLUB (TFC) are on their all time high. Cherel was the owner of TFC and since she gone AWOL, Len insisted that he take over as Executive Producer. ON!TV wanted to fight him on it, telling him the show is owned by them since Cherel is gone. He then pulled out a contract to prove that he also put money in the TFC project. Seems like there will be a legal battle!!! No one knew that the Len was part of an TFC agreement, so legally he’s the owner.

That's the recap in a big nutshell!!!

This blog made me think of somethings:

Firstly: A suicidal family member or friend - what do you do in the situation. Do you tell them to go ahead and pray to Gaad that they dont, or do you try to convience them (until you are blue in the face) otherwise..

Secondly: If there is one thing I have learnt about families is that each and every family unit is different. The richest family may have serious issues, the family that barely gets by is the happiest, there's the crazy uncle, the half sisters or brothers that pops up from nowhere.... the list goes on...

What do you think... HOLLLEEERRR!!!
