BJ & Tyler ranked ahead of Eric & Jeremy as a result of them being the first team to leave the starting area and for getting on the earlier flight (based on scheduled arrival time, not actual arrival time). Lake & Michelle finished ahead of Joseph & Monica, but were behind them for most of the leg and and therefore ranked lower.
Danielle & Danni did fairly well until their decision to build the motorbike, and their initial performance puts them ahead of Ray & Yolanda and Fran & Barry, despite finishing behind those two teams. John & Scott also did well initially, which is why they are ranked ahead of Lisa & Joni.
