We all know nobody like goodbyes but when its time to say good bye, there’s nothing one can do except to just say good bye. So if you are going to be saying your goodbyes you better say them like me.. say them in style. No no no no,I can see some are like ‘what’s she on about, is she leaving our most interesting site, if so why bother us’ Hahahah you wish, I aint living this site not if you can threaten me or sue me
So what am I on about since many are like ‘ok isn’t she suppose to talk about adverts on her block?’ Ok enough drama already, today is my LAST day at my current job, seeing that this job has kept me so busy that I was unable to update my blog,I decide not to work on my last but rather take a moment to just work on my blog.I now taking this moment to say to good bye to my beloved flat screened Proline PC by updating my blog.
ADS! ADS! ADS! ADS! ADS! ADS some good, some bad, some just a yawn and some…really,I mean really now……a complete waste of air time.
Matsatsing a(nowadays) I’ve grown to love Kentucky fried chicken’s ad, remember I used to so big on Cell C ads(maybe you don’t remember, its been a while…who can blame you)but I have since divorced for KFC finger licking good ads. I don’t know where to begin cause I just love them all
Who can forget this ad where this cute little girl was helping her mother to prepare dinner? I mean as a mother I could relate. phela the kitchen was such a mess all thanks to the young one. Since most of her culinary creation end ups on the floor, mom decided not to prepare dinner any more, instead she saves the day by buying Kentucky. When the little cute chef asked why she was not asked to help her mom cook, mom diluted the situation by saying that she needed the night off.
The other one is the recent one where Shaun Bartlett is seated on the bench when he is approached by a young boy who happens to have KFC streetwise two with. He admires the soccer player and in exchange of his streetwise two he asked for the player’s autography. Pleased that he got his legend’s autography he thanks him ”thanks Benny’ Eisan, Bartlett froze over that drum stick he was about to bite, he’s been mistaken for Benny Mc Carthy, should he tell or not, he opted for the latter and continued to attack his KFC. Letting thta boy to believe that he is indeed Benny,would you tell?
Then there is this one ya this family that is taking a trip to Lord knows where. The kids at the back seat are playing music from their ipods through earphones. Everyone is singing along with whatever is playing on his/her ipods. Can you relate? Ask me I have a boy at home! Clever plan, parents buys KFC and for the first time there’s peace in the car as everyone is busy attacking the poor dead chicken .
The last one is that of the ladies who just moved in a new flat. They arrived from KFC when them guys saw them plastics of KFC.PLAN…Them guys knocked making as if they were only other to welcome them girls in the neighbourhood Yee right! Hey but girls being girls they put these guys to good use, they had to help (oh no wrong word)they had to arrange the house for the ladies. Thereafter it was lunch time, poor chickens, where’s SPCA when you need them most!!!!! Let me end here ka KFC before I’m accused of accepting bribes!!!!!!!!!!!
DIAL DIRECT
Love this ad. A woman gets onto the X-ray conveyer belt at an airport with her laptop in an effort to keep it safe. The guy looking at the x-ray screen gets a fright when he sees a skeleton and everyone looks at the woman as if she’s mad. Hilarious.. Relevant??? I DONNO
VW POLO
Ok this is an ad I really do not get. This guy is driving his shiny new Polo, and he sees a group of gangster-looking individuals loitering in an alley, he gets out his car, walks up to the group and tries to impress them by rapping. This aint happening in SA, unless if you have a death wish. The new Polo is such a cute car but hey their ads are so not relevant to the product itself.
The last one-KLIPDRIFT PREMUIM
There’s hunks in their 20’s at the bar. There’s this one dipping his finger and making circular motion around his glass with a smile, with ladies watching him. The background song goes ’do it to me one more time’ This ad is so seductive its not even funny, it makes one wanna scream, it makes one wanna fly, I mean it makes one wannago crazy. The men in this ad are hot,tell you what, this drink has been added to one of my favourite drinks, all thanks to this ad
