Prison Break
Season Premiere: Prison Break Recap
2:01 Manhunt

Previously on Prison Break: Westmoreland died but not before disclosing the whereabouts of his money, the remaining Escapees (minus HIC) made it over the wall and dumped Newbie  who headed for St. Louis and Haywire who took off on a bicycle. T-Bag lost a hand, courtesy of Abruzzi; Moronica, the idiot formerly known as Veronica, found Steadman, Nick and his dad bit it, Doc od'd and Patricia offed Pres, thus becoming Pres Patricia. C-Note, Abruzzi, Michael, Linc and Sucre were left stranded in a field, surrounded by copters, coppers, puppies and a rabid Bellick.

Its Daytime and FBI Special Agent Mahone, is getting the lowdown on all the Escapees, complete with flashbacks of their crimes. Mahone points out that Michael and Linc are brothers and says Michael's the mastermind behind this whole thing. Good, they're giving credit where credit is due. He wants everything they've got on Michael.

The boys are still Running. They hear a train and run to catch it, figuring if they can cut in front of it, they'll be cut off from the Posse. Everyone except Michael makes it into a boxcar, just as Bellick arrives, rifle in hand. He shouts that he'll shoot, but Linc pulls Michael inside. Bellick's "Son of a bitch!" takes us into the a newly refreshed second season opening credits.

Prison Break Opening Titles

Mahone heads up a press conference where he calls the Escapees the "eight most wanted men in America."  Well, that certainly applies to Wentworth Miller for certain fans.

Instead of Running, the Escapees are Bickering (and there'll be a lot of that tonight). C-Note complains that Abruzzi's pilot left them high and dry, then accuses Michael of planning to ditch them so he can head to Utah. Michael tries to shush him, but C-Note spills the beans about the $5 million. Sucre's all, "huh?"

Over at Fox River. Mahone meets up with Pope and says once the Escapees cross state lines, it'll be a federal hunt. Pope's sure they won't get that far. Mahone suggests full cooperation no matter what. Pope agrees. Mahone then brings up Doc and Pope immediately forgets about that cooperation thing. He says there's nothing to discuss and he doesn't talk about his employees. Mahone says he needs to speak with Doc. Pope says nobody will be chatting with her for a while.

PB- Dr. SaraThen we go to  the good Doc, lying comatose in the hospital. Obviously seen better days, but she's in hospital so this is excusable, to distract us a few flashbacks of better times and previous episode are flashed on the screen. She must think so too, 'cuz she suddenly awakens, perhaps to hunt up some cream rinse.

T-Bag's still conscious and packs his amputated appendage in a small cooler of ice.

Mahone's chatting with his right-hand man while looking at pics of Michael's tattoo. He orders Agent R-HM to find the tattoo artist. Bellick stomps by and Mahone tries to speak with him, but Bellick attempts to blow him off. They engage in a pissing contest which demonstrates that Mahone is waaay smarter than Bellick, but isn't everyone?

Montana Mansion. Moronica's a tad ticked that Steadman (the role has been recast) has been living in splendor while an innocent man has been sentenced to death for Steadman's "murder." "I'm not the one who chose Lincoln Burrows as the fall guy." Moronica doesn't care, but Steadman insists he's a victim too. And a prisoner. Seems the doors only open from the outside and the windows are two inches thick and bulletproof. Looks like Moronica's in a pickle.

Catching up with the Escapees. Linc wants to ditch the others, but Michael points out that they know about Utah and if they're caught they'll tell the Feds. Linc is, once again, Negative Nancy when he says they'll never get out of the country, let alone to Utah. They need money, clothes, transpo. Michael says he has all that, in "storage." Abruzzi's jet was Plan A, but you know Michael-there's always a Plan B. And C. And D. This particular plan is tattooed on his wrist: "Ripe Chance Woods." Sound familiar? Think waaay back to last season.

Mahone's chatting up the tat artist. She says Michael designed the tattoo himself and was a "detail Nazi." A lightbulb appears above Mahone's head as he spots a photo of the "english fitz percy" portion of the tattoo. He figures out exactly what those words mean.

PB Manhunt2

Again with the Bickering. A girl pops by, startling the Escapees. C-Note kindly approaches her and tries to explain what they're doing out in the woods. The girl says she's out hunting and they're interrupted by her dad, who's carrying a rifle. He recognizes the Escapees. Abruzzi pulls his gun and grabs the girl. The others tell him to let her go, but Abruzzi just puts the gun to her head and orders Hunting Dad to toss his rifle away. HD complies, Abruzzi tells Sucre to get the rifle and lets the girl go. Michael tells HD to calm down and hand over his car keys. They beat it. Man, Linc's five o'clock shadow is, like, massive! Dude must have to shave three times a day! Seriously.

Back to Doc. She denies leaving the door open. FBI Agent Chick brings up the other seven Escapees, which is news to Doc.

One-handed T-Bag scopes out a vet clinic. He enters and not so nicely "requests" that the vet perform emergency re-attachment surgery.

More Bickering. C-Note wants to toss Abruzzi out on his ass. Surprisingly all this Bickering doesn't lead to physical violence, or maybe that's just when T-Bag's around. Michael instructs Linc to head towards Oswego and the others complain about the change of plans. What plans? Everything's been a change of plans since the break out. And do any of them, besides Michael, actually have a plan? Shut up, Escapees!

Guard hands Bellick a copy of Michael's credit card transactions prior to his incarceration. He spent eight grand in a month. One of the purchases was the rental of a storage facility. In Oswego. Bellick tells Horny Guard not to share the info with the Feds. Bad Bellick! You're suppossed to share! Bellick then hears about HD.

Mahone's checking out Michael's pre-prison digs. He paces in front of the Wall, much like Michael did, and pretty much figures out how Michael planned everything. He also guesses that Michael tossed the evidence into the river below and orders divers. That's one hell of a lightbulb he's sporting, folks.

Montana Mansion. Moronica decides to make a phone call and Steadman decides to pull a gun.

PB Driving

Bellick asks HD which way the Escapees went. HD replies that they went north, toward Oswego. Ding! Even Bellick can't miss that. He calls over Guard and peruses the transaction list once more. There it is: Allen Self Storage. Bellick tells his boys to roll.

Hospital. Nurse Katie pops by, bringing clothes for Doc as well as her purse. She tries to apologize, but Doc tells her to forget it. Nurse Katie brings up Michael and Doc hearbreakingly says, "He never cared. Not one bit."

Ah, but he does care, because he's totally feeling the guilt.

Back to Steadman and Moronica. Sigh. I must say Moronica's backbone has, like, tripled in size this hour. She dares Steadman to shoot her. She points out that if he does he'll be stuck with her decomposing corpse. Eww! But excellent point. Steadman's still with the "poor, pitiful me." "You have no idea what I've been through." "This isn't about you Terrence." Moronica calls the sheriff's dept and requests they send a car.

T-Bag's would-be surgeon is trying to convince him to get medical assistance from personnel who actually work on people. T-Bag resorts to threats, so Mr. Vet says he'll try, but can't make any promises. He wants to put T-Bag under, but T-Bag says no way. He wants to be awake when his appendage is re-attached. Yuck!

Mahone and Agent R-HM are discussing the "Allen Schweitzer" part of Michael's tattoo. "It's all here, isn't it? It's amazing," Mahone awes. He asks about the "Ripe Chance Woods" portion and Agent R-HM says they're looking into it. They then receive word that Bellick's moving on a storage facility in Oswego.

Cue the Escapees entering a storage shed and the Posse congregating outside Allen Self Storage. Mahone arrives and Bellick tells him to back off. Inside the shed the Escapees are gathering shovels as the Posse lines up outside Michael's storage space. They open the door and gasp! no Escapees! "Son of a bitch set us up," complains Horny Guard. Boy, is Bellick pissed. Good.

PB- Cemetry
The Escapees have now made it to the cemetery which appeared in the flashback episode last season.

Outside the storage facility Bellick snarls at Mahone, "Not one word." Heh. Mahone notices an officer's name tag "RIVERS" and, again, lightbulb. He tells Agent R-HM that "Ripe Chance Woods" is a name, not a place. He wants to check census records.

Cemetery. C-Note complains that they'll be seen. "Keep digging," Linc monotones while he sits on his ass. Heh. And, again, he's still working the five o'clock shadow, but it's more like a ten o'clock shadow now. Looks good. I say keep it, Linc.

Anyway, Sucre worries that they're all going to hell. Michael and C-Note find Michael's stash and the others haul them outta the grave.

Mahone finds a Woods on the census list and tells Agent R-HM they need to go to the cemetery.

At said cemetery the Escapees, they are a-strippin'. Woo! Ahh! We didn't need to see Abruzzi changing his clothes. He complains that his pants are a little short. "Chop your feet off, you're good at that," Linc suggests. Hee! And Michael's in a suit, people! A suit! Yee-haw! He ambles over to Linc saying he's got passports for the two of them, as well as phone cards and a car parked just over yonder. He figures the Escapees can split up now. The FBIMobile pulls up, so the boys hide. Mahone makes his way to the grave marked "RIP E. CHANCE WOODS." C-Note wonders how Mahone knew where to look while Sucre suggests they get outta Dodge. Michael just stares at Mahone, guessing (correctly) that he's met his match. Mahone kneels down, unscrews a pen, retrieves a pill and pops it. Boy, I hope he's got some sort of mysterious illness, 'cuz the FBI dude addicted to painkillers has been done. To death. Anyhoodle, Mahone looks up and spots Michael's retreating back. He draws his weapon and gives chase, but the now civilian-clothed Escapees have blended in with the crowd. Linc should really do something about those cuts and bruises on his face. But leave the midnight o'clock shadow. And walking around with your shirt open, exposing your chest will likely draw attention. Just saying.

Montana Mansion. Moronica promises to get Steadman his life back. Her phone rings. It's Linc. She's relieved to hear he's okay and tells him to turn himself in since she's found Steadman. Linc's confused. A Besuited Man arrives and Moronica tells him to come on in. BM tells her to hang up (she doesn't) and when she turns she sees BM has his gun drawn. Uh-oh! BM tells NuSteadman to stand aside. Moronica gets out an "Oh my God!" before BM plugs her. I almost feel bad for calling her Moronica now. Linc's still listening and freaks. Michael rushes to his side. We get a shot of an open-eyed Moronica, lying dead on the floor. You know the worst part? That fetching blue coat is ruined! Ruined! BM and his cronies haul Moronica's body outside and stow it in the trunk. He reminds Steadman that all calls to the sheriff's dept are routed to them 'cuz this is federal land. Steadman's all, "Oh yeah." Bad Steadman!

PB- Veronica

Doc finds an origami bird in her purse. She opens it to reveal a message: "There's a plan to make all of this right." Doc's not so sure.

Agent R-HM informs Mahone that the Escapees have "basically vanished." Mahone doesn't think so. "Scofield had the entire thing on his body: how to get out of that prison, how to disappear afterward, it's all there. I promise you that it's only a matter of time before we know everything that is in Scofield's head." He seems mighty sure of himself. Considering he's had more lightbulbs in one episode than most of the characters have had in the entire series, lets let it slide.
