Episode Statistics

Votes
Vanessa: 3
Jacinda: 2

Survivors ranked by challenge performance
Previous episode's positions given in brackets
1) Vanessa (4)
2) Jacinda (2)
3) Mzi (1)
4) Zayn (3)

These rankings are only based on the immunity challenge involving all four survivors.

Overall Rankings

Survivors ranked by votes received
1) Jacinda (1)
2) Zayn (3)
3) Mzi (4)
4) Vanessa (5)

As these rankings are only determined by the votes received when people are voted out and no one was voted out, there is no change from the previous week other than everyone who was below Gareth moving up a place.

Survivors ranked by average challenge performance
1) Jacinda (2)
2) Vanessa (3)
3) Mzi (4)
4) Zayn (3)

Zayn's failure at the final challenge results in Mzi overtaking him.

Survivors ranked by votes and challenge performance
1) Jacinda (1)
2) Mzi (5)
3) Vanessa (4)
3) Zayn (3)

Mzi's big jump is as a result of him moving above Zayn in the challenge performance rankings.  That, combined with the fact that he had fewer votes against his name than Vanessa results in him moving above her.

Final Thoughts

So did the best survivor win?  To some extent, that depends on your definition of "best".

There's no doubt that Gareth was the best when it came to challenges, winning more individual immunities than anyone else.  However, winning challenges is not the most important thing, and Gareth's dominance was a factor in his being voted out.

After Gareth, the next best at challenges was Jacinda, who also only received one vote against her.  So if you were to pick the "best" survivor, it would probably be Jacinda, who as we all know, didn't win.
