Season 2

The first season ended with the shrewd, power-hungry Nomarussia (Vatiswa Ndara) headed to jail. Also, rightful heir Bantu ascended the throne and magical dark forces took control of his ruthless half-brother Jonga's corpse.

The second season of the Xhosa melodrama continues with the war for the kingdom, with Bantu fighting to hold onto everything he loves and Nomarussia scheming to reclaim what's hers as she sits behind bars, struggling to accept her loss.

As Season 2 gets underway, the royal house is settling into a life without Nomarussia, but unknown to them, there's a new evil force awakening in the valley. Adding insult to injury, Bantu (Anga Makubalo) and Phumza's (Talitha Ndima) big day is marred by tragedy.

Will their relationship recover from another setback?

The returning starring cast for Season 2 includes Anga Makubalo as Bantu, Talitha Ndima as Phumza, Vatiswa Ndara as NomaRussia, Zikhona Sodlaka as S'chotho, Oros Mampofu as Phila, Mnatha Vika as Mthuthuzeli, Charmaine Mtinta as Noxolo and Nomhle Nkonyeni as NoMzuzu. Peter Sephuma also guest stars this season as Mthetho.

Andile Nebulane replaces Thami Mngqolo in the role of Jonga this season and Ayanda Makayi replaces Given Stuurman as Boysie, along with new starring cast member Zolisa Xaluva as Uncle Luvo.

Season 2 is executive produced by Connie Ferguson and Shona Ferguson for Ferguson Films. The head writers are Phathu Makwarela and Gwydion Beynon, with storyliners Bonga Percy Vilakazi, Linda Bere, Christa Biyela and Lebogang Mogashoa. The theme music and score is by Joel Assaizky.
