The Real is an American daytime talk show hosted by bold, diverse and outspoken women who bring their perspectives to life in their candid conversations about topics ranging from their own personal lives to the news of the day, beauty, fashion and relationships.
The hosts are all going through varied life experiences, including new motherhood, new marriages, dating and single life, which relate to every woman's own trials and tribulations.
Unlike other talk shows, each of the hosts is admittedly a work in progress and fearlessly invites the home audience into their lives.
Their fresh point of view, youthful energy and passion turn the traditional talk show on its head.
SallyAnn Salsano, founder and president of 495 Productions (Jersey Shore, Snooki & JWoww, The Show with Vinny, Tattoo Nightmares, The Bachelor and The Bachelorette) served as executive producer on the first season.

Broadcast Notes
Season 1 premiered on BET International on Monday 2 March 2015, at 17h00, beginning with Episode 111. The following month BETi became BET2 (on DStv only - it remained BETi on StarSat) and the show was moved to the new BET Africa, meaning Episode 134 was the first episode to air on the new channel.
