Season 1
Set in the fictional First Community Church of Philadelphia, Amen, pitted the stubborn Deacon Ernest Frye against the new modern Reverend Reuben Gregory.
A lawyer by day, Deacon Frye in his own arrogant, sly and hilarious style, tried to maintain control over the church but constantly came up against Reverend Gregory who had his own ideas about how the church should be run.
This show included a cast of wacky and crazy characters including Deacon Frye's daughter Thema who fell head-over-heels in love with Reverend Gregory, a feeling that wasn't always recirprocated.
