Season 3 premiered on SONY on Friday 3 February 2012, at 17h00. New episodes broadcast in a double bill daily, on weekdays. There are 22 episodes in the third season.

Synopsis

Often referred to as the Cosby Show of the '90s, The Parent 'Hood is a sitcom about an upper middle-class black family, the Petersons, who live in Harlem.

Robert Townsend plays Robert Peterson, a college professor, who is married to law student Jerri (Suzzanne Douglas). Together they try to raise their four children as best they can while juggling the hectic schedules of the baby-boomer generation.

If there's a rulebook for raising kids, Robert Peterson never read it. A big kid at heart, Robert favours a freestyle method of parenting when it comes to his four children, ranging in age from toddlers to teens.

But his wife, Jerri, has her own strong - and very different - ideas on the subject in The Parent 'Hood.

The series features Robert's hilarious daydreaming sequences and his unconventional approaches to solving family problems, ensuring that life is never predictable in the Peterson household.
