Synopsis

Dali Tambo's People of the South returns, airing this time around on SABC3. This series of 26 episodes features an eclectic mix of personalities, politicians and icons.

People of the South is an up-market docu–entertainment style chat show that is shot on location in homes, offices and on the street, profiling people of substance from all walks of life.

People of the South aims to create a strong sense of national identity and evoke a sense of pride in our exceptional achievers.

Dali's sensitive yet probing interviews are distinctly emotive and informative. They are illustrated by visually inter-cutting archive footage, photographs and personal memorabilia.

The episodes culminate in a celebratory dinner – a new feature of the series - where Dali encourages reminiscing, good humour, and a great sense of occasion.

Viewers discover the thoughts, lives and private persona behind the mask of the public personality.

The new series of People of the South promises to deliver quality entertainment featuring significant leaders of our society: political and cultural leaders, sportsmen and women, entertainers, comedians, actors and business icons.
