About the Show

Sister, Sister is an American television sitcom created by Kim Bass, Gary Gilbert and Fred Shafferman about identical twin girls Tia Landry and Tamera Campbell (Tia and Tamera Mowry), who were separated and adopted at birth, who one day come face-to-face after 14 years apart.

Identical twins Tamera and Tia were separated at birth and adopted by different families nearly 15 years ago. Tia lived in Detroit with her outspoken mother, Lisa Landry, while Tamera lived in the suburbs with her father Ray Campbell.

A fateful shopping trip brings the twins together. Tia and Tamera hit it off immediately, though their mother and father have nothing in common, except the girls. For the sake of the twins, the parents agree to give living together in Ray's house a try.

The twins share a room and discover from the very start how different they are even though their looks are identical. Tia is an honour student who's more comfortable with books than boys. Her side of the room is always neat and organised. Meanwhile, Tamera is sloppy and less studious. She constantly flirts with boys.

On the young field of romance, their over-amorous teenage neighbour, Roger, often drops by to see the object of his unabashed affection, Tamera, is constantly bothering the twins. Once Tia moves in, Roger doubles his smitten efforts.

The series often focuses on the trouble the twins get into due to their identical appearance and the love-hate relationship between Lisa and Ray.
