Synopsis

If you want to hook up with "the one", you can't rely on the goodwill of a chubby little matchmaker with wings and an arrow. Nor can a potent potion, lavish gifts or little sweet nothings in the moonlight ignite lasting love.

Modern-day courtship is complex. It's a fine art – and a battle. It's not just about "you" and "him/her". It's also about "them" - the many rivals who continually gravitate toward the object of your affection.

You need to know how to wipe away the competition...

M-Net Series' original reality dating show, Rivals in Romance, finds chic, sassy singles having to employ cunning strategies in an effort to win the game of love.

Rivals in Romance takes two stereotypically opposite men into the dating world where they work together, as well as against each other, to win the heart of one special woman that they both desire.

The show takes viewers into the modern dating world by setting up challenges in which female competitors need to secure dates to avoid elimination.

The ladies are in pressure-cooker situations week after week, as they vie for attention and discover that ending up with Mr. Right is easier said than done.
