About the Show

Rubicon is an American television drama series created by Jason Horwitch and produced by Henry Bromell which centres on an intelligence analyst at a national think tank in New York City called the American Policy Institute (API) who discovers that he may be working with members of a secret society that manipulates world events on a grand scale.

The series aired in the USA on AMC from 13 June to 17 October, 2010. There are 13 hour-long episodes in one season.

Rubicon premiered in South Africa on DStv's M-Net Action channel on Thursday 6 January 2011, at 18h00. New episodes broadcast weekly.

Synopsis

Nothing is what it seems, eveything is questioned, and clues hide in plain sight in the AMC original drama series Rubicon.

Inspired by the suspenseful and high-stakes political whodunits of the 1970s - from The Parallax View to All The President's Men - Rubicon is a modern-day conspiracy thriller that taps into the collective paranoia of a post-9/11 era.

Set at the New York City-based American Policy Institute (API), a federal intelligence agency, Rubicon follows Will Travers, a beleagured and brilliant API analyst who, after being faced with a shocking tragedy, begins to uncover clues that could point to a complex and sinister consipiracy.

Executive produced by Henry Bromell, Rubicon stars James Badge Dale as Will Travers; Jessica Collins as Maggie Young; Dallas Roberts as Miles Fiedler; Christopher Evan Welch as Grant Test; and Lauren Hodges as Tanya MacGaffin, with Arliss Howard as Kale Ingram and Miranda Richardson as Katherine Rhumor.

Recurring guest stars include Roger Robinson as Ed Bancroft and Michael Cristofer as Truxton Spangler.

Greenlit to a full series order in June 2009 and cancelled on 11 November, 2010, Rubicon is AMC's third original series. The one-hour, 13-episode weekly series is produced by Warner Horizon Television.
