B4 da Fame resumed on SABC1 on Tuesday 10 February 2009, at 19h00, with the final nine episodes. There are 26 half-hour episodes in the series.

Synopsis

B4 da Fame identifies a celebrity as someone who has captured the imagination of the majority through sheer excellence and distinction in what they do.

There are celebrity business people, sportsmen and women, celebrity politicians and celebrity beauty queens - many different profiles and standards that the choices are endless.

B4 da Fame is interested in those who inspire the youth through the quality of their lives. Celebrities were at some point of their lives ordinary individuals, and B4 da Fame (as the title suggests) is fascinated with the celebrity’s journey from Birth to the Moment of Magic.

How they navigated their way through the toughest of challenges, growing up, in poverty in most cases and life in general. These are the untold, true stories behind the headlines, the fortune, the heartache, the struggle, the glitz and the glamour.

B4 da Fame tells these intimate stories through the eyes of family members, childhood sweethearts, former school teachers, old friends, former employers, archive footage and anyone else who was close enough to the guest to have vivid memories of their journey.

Most significantly though, the subject themselves relate their own stories, in their own words and walk us down their memory lane.

The show is interested in the deeper insight of the journey of the subject, their fair share of struggles growing up, earlier triumphs, early signs of greatness, what it took to get to where they are, defining moments in their past, factors and individuals that contributed to their rise, and memorable moments or events that shaped them.
