Justified
Has a show called Justified started in SA yet? It stars Timothy Olyphant as Rylan Givens, the US Marshall character created by Elmore Leonard. Apparently it has been a big hit for FX, which was responsible for The Shield as well. I've seen the pilot, and it's worth watching: gritty and intriguing.

Re: Justified
I dig it, and most of my approval is based on my bottomless reserve of lust for Timothy Olyphant
The character of Givens is great, very cool, very polite and intimidating with that whole Southern gentleman with a loaded gun and a Stetson thing going on.
But the show is perhaps less gritty than it was advertised. It’s about a 6 on the scale of gritty, where The Shield was a 9 I'd say.
There’s lots of soap opera-esque stuff coming through that has the long term future of the show in mind rather than getting the damn arc going already
Was really frustrated by the pacing, and the criminal underuse of Walton Goggins as Boyd Crowder, but I reckon I'm invested enough in the characters to keep watching.

Re: Justified
Yes, by the end of Ep 2, I found myself mildly bored. Givens is a great character; it seems it's going to take a while to get the plot on the boil.
Timothy Olyphant looks very rumpled and scowly in this, which I think affects his sexiness quotient a tad.

Re: Justified
Ooooh Alex! SNAP. lust him SO much too. He's completely underrated on sex appeal generally, like too few people go on about him enough. I was very disappointed when he disappeared from Damages as he did .. in that - his arms in T-shirts were too much.
Haven't seen any of Justifed. Clearly it's a must-see!
PS: yoh, yoh, yoh at your hott av.

I first saw him in Deadwood, and then Broken Hearts Club.

Haven't seen Broken Hearts Club G - adding it to the list too. Can't believe I've missed so much of him. This. Will. Change.

It’s a shit film but jeez on crackers he is bona-fide (see what I did there?) on that Jennifer Garner chick flick Catch and Release.
My god. Him in a jeans and T-shirt, just standing there and I am finished.

Re: Justified
Tashi - you have to check out Justified then. He spends a good deal of the show in wifebeaters or just topless, being badass about 99% of the time
And Walton Goggins, who was in The Shield, thankfully gets more screentime in the 2nd half of the season so I've been enjoying it more with him around. His character is great.
The female characters however are...

Re: Justified
yeah Broken Hearts Club was the 1st time I saw Timothy O (and girls be warned it is a gay movie). Then saw him in Dreamcatcher (which was trashed by the critics but i rather enjoyed it).
And wasn't he the villain on the last Die Hard?
I never saw Hitman either (based on the comic book)

Re: Justified
Aieee! I finished the first season this week. It gets immensely riveting as it goes on. The S1 finale is rather kick-ass.
And Timothy Olyphant gets sexier.
And Walton Goggins gets more screentime as the deliciously delirious Boyd Crowder. I now love this show long time.
S2 starts in the US in Feb. I am so there with a gun, a stetson and a whiskey.

I'm so going to copy you! I'm thinking a winter wardrobe of boots, leather jacket and a stetson?
Hott news just heard ... Season 1 starts on M-Net Series in March and Season 2 follows immediately after in May.

Re: Justified
Awesome news Tash. I've watched the S2 trailer about 20 times now and can't get enough.
Jeremy Davies who played Daniel Farraday on Lost is going to be a baddie in the new season.
Gagging to see it already!
