e.tv is looking to hire intern News Reporters and Camermen for the channels Cape Town and Johannesburg newsrooms. All the info on requirements and applying:
Your key performance/training areas will include:
ENG (Electronic News Gathering)Use of camera, loading of tape, white balancing
Shot composition, use of tripod
Audio monitoring
Field ReportingPlanning of stories, shot lists, interviewing techniques, pieces to camera
Writing scripts, pacing of story
Packaging and editing of stories
Editing (Linear and non-linear)
Three point editing, use of cutaways, rudimentary audio
Dumping to tape, creation of timelines
Editing of scripts into packages with appropriate use of natsound and soundbites
Desk WritingAccessing international feeds and scripts
Editing of scripts into packages with appropriate use of natsound and soundbites
Packaging and editing
RequirementsA completed tertiary qualification in Journalism or a completed tertiary qualification in Camera
Passion for broadcasting & television
Team player
Note:The successful candidates will be required to work irregular and long hours, including weekends, public holidays and standby shifts.
