The National Film And Video Foundation (NFVF) is looking for a Special Projects Co-ordinator.
Reporting to: Head of Marketing and Public Affairs
Job Purpose: To oversee all planning, logistics and implementation of the South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTA) & any other projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing all processes leading up to the SAFTA award event including, the call for entries, judging process, nominations announcement and the overall award event
- Ensuring that all production companies submit their programmes across all the TV channels and networks. Developing processes and exploring best practice in this area
- Appointing a judging co-ordinator who will administer the judging process
- Keeping lines of communication open between the judging panels, the overall SAFTA judge, the SAFTA committee and NFVF management
- Appointing judges in consultation and liaison with the NFVF and the SAFTA committee
- Overseeing the judging process and ensuring judges have all the resources at their disposal to work effectively
- Ensuring that the judging process is fully audited
- Organising the nominee press announcement
- Liaising with all nominees and ensuring the event is well attended
- Managing and overseeing the SAFTA gala event, contracting and appointing all suppliers and ensuring that the SAFTA are a world class and industry event
- Securing headline and gift sponsors
- Development of a project plan for the SAFTAS
- Monthly reports to the NFVF management
To work within the allocated budget for the whole process.
Qualifications:• Relevant tertiary qualification
