I recently realised that I had no clue where the Idols go in between the weekly shows and reckoned you'd be same. To satisfy our curiosity I went off to where they've all been staying since the Spectaculars started and snoop-snapped to show you.
I went through on a Wednesday afternoon - which is when they spend time with the press - and when I arrived at their house I had a blast-from-the-past from Project Fame at the idea of everyone living together and rehearsing etc. Their house is a rented digs in Highlands North, which is where the BBAfrica house was too:
As you drive in Morris is on security at the gate. He rotates with someone else, each working twelve hour shifts.
There's a pool in the garden that had just been emptied to be cleaned:
My first stop inside was their kitchen ...
And their fridge.
It all looks too healthy doesn't it? Fridges are always revealing about what's what in a household - mine's always got zilch 'cos I can't cook. I can't remember what fruit was in the green bowl.
There are pictures of the Top 14 on different walls in the house. They were all put up when they arrived and everyone who's left has signed theirs to say goodbye.
Jody was in the lounge playing a Playstation game that Munro brought with him. His consol and game moved in with him when he moved in:
Jody and I chatted about the competition and whether or not she misses school - the fact that she's still at school really struck me sitting right next to her. She said she doesn't miss her school work but misses seeing her friends.

I caught Andriette in their pool room - which is just off the pool area and she pulled some impressive moves. She sank every ball she tried for in one go:

Daniel was still there - it was the Wednesday before he left - and he strung me along while we had a laugh about the fact that he doesn't play the guitar.
Some sletty goss I just remembered ! - when I was at the Suvivor After Party I heard through the juicevine that the Survivors were at the Idols live show the week before and Angie dirtily got hold of Daniel at the party afterwards. It's gonna be in Heat magazine apparently.
Tender had just been in an interview and got changed into her slippers and notebook: I chatted to her just before - will spill what we spoke about soon:

Munro was in the rehearsal room where they all get their songs and arrange them with the shows musical directors.
In between looking around I asked them about whether or not they rehearse for each other and crit each other after their performances and their answers were all different.
Andriette said she doesn't give comments to anyone about their songs because of it being a competition, Jody said everyone gives comments on each others performances and Munro said he does give comments when he thinks something can be improved but that there have been times in the past when he didn't give to someone - when he didn't mind whether or not they left.
They also said that they spend a lot of time braaing in the evenings - watching the fire from the mattress in the background obviously:
