All Access to cast new presenter: who?

On Thursday, 21 April the celeb'ertainment show All Access moves from M-Net to Mzansi Magic after a year-and-a-half on M-Net. It'll be on weekly, at 20h00.

Long-time presenters Pabi Moloi, Tammy-Anne Fortuin, Jason Greer and Bridget Masinga will continue with the show and one new presenter will join them. Mark Bayly and Koula, who were part of the original presenting team, won't be presenting.

The show's currently doing castings for the gig - closed ones, not a talent search type set-up - so we can assume that someone we already know will land it.

Who should it be?

My first and ultimate choice: KB Ngakane. For starters I'm hott for him bigtime (#TeamSkobo!) and also, he really is the bomb as a presenter - and not seen nearly enough.

Yes, he's on Channel O and radio etc and so on, but he needs to be buzzing everywhere don't you think?

He's the essence of cool: his humour, his attitude, his turns of phrase, his tatty brown jacket that he wears everywhere.

The one thing that could be against him is that he might show what he's really feeling if he interviews a schleb who's a total pain in the butt - as he used to do on Big Brother when the housemate L'osah's got evicted.

It would be too fab if he did ... but would the show want it? Hopefully they will!

I have to say that entertainment reporting in this country is not on point at all. Something is just not working well. There is no glamour or your Ryan Seacrest/Joan Rivers personalities that shine through. I think it's time producers looked outside of the celeb cluster to find that person who will bring something fresh and a spark into this whole thing. Enough of the KBs, Pabi and all these celebs who are now having to interview their friends and bringing their own personal issues, good or bad, into their work. We need someone new and interesting to be the link between the industry and the fans.
