It started as an ad/filler type setup, became a full reality show last year and now a new season has been announced - to be filmed in Phuket, Thailand.
Season 3 of Tropika's Island of Treasure has been confirmed to premiere on e.tv in early 2011, with a revised format this time.
Previously the celebrity contestants played in teams of two, partnered with members of the public who entered the show to play with them.
The prize for the winning partnership was: R1 million, split between the schleb and their partner.
This year the show takes a turn that's similar to Survivor: Fans vs Favourites: seven schlebs and seven viewers will be playing for R1 million - all solo. Only
one can win. Anyone can win.
