On Hold: SA's Got Talent

Sorry to be the spiller of more iffy news but I've just heard that SA's Got Talent has also been put on hold.

It was one of the new reality shows that looked set to go ahead as planned despite all the fiasco's but it isn't anymore unfort.

The first ever season was supposed to premiere on SABC2 on 13 August, 2009 - it's been postponed to an unspecified date. Word is it will be this year but no date has been confirmed.

The on-hold timeline that seems to be happening for most shows is three months - it's sounding like decisions will be reached about their premieres September sort of time.

Regards auditions - everyone who entered the show will be kept on record and informed when the auditions happen.

Also confirmed as On Hold: I Want To Sing Gospel 2 and Strictly Come Dancing 6.

I'm thinking we should set up an "understanding" whereby there's only news if something's actually happening instead of not, so instead of spilling when something's on hold, rather to news-it when it's NOT.

Right now, the one show that's definitely on track is SABC1's So You Think You're Funny 2. Auditions have been happening over the past week and finish in Cape Town tomorrow (7 July 2009).

It premieres on Monday, 27 July at 19h00.

The drama that is the SABC continues...... I see they appointed four interim members who are ANC members and one IFP member. As long as the SABC is controlled by the ruling party and not the government nothing will ever come right. My true feelings are that the SABC is in this mess because of the two camps, Dali's and Zikalala's one. Ivy Matsepe was also intstrumental in this mess..
