ncumisaNcumisa is a skills trainer who would like to change lives for the better. She is involved in a number of projects aiding teenagers and young people. No word on what they’re actually aiding the teens with but I assume it’s something philanthropic and not aiding them in stealing cars or keeping drugs from their parents or something.

She is very friendly and a people’s person. She’s a little stubborn but likely only enough to be adorably plucky rather than annoyingly pigheaded. The reason why she might win Survivor is given as being that she’s so loveable people will find it hard to vote her out.

She describes herself thusly in some amusingly purple prose: “Deep down I am an empathetic, sensitive, caring soul. My compassion for others is boundless and shines through like the midday sun.”

There you have it. Not only is she compassionate, but her compassion shines through like the midday sun. It’s as boundless as a field at springtime, a mountaintop in winter, or a Highveld thunderstorm. It’s as grand as an Oak tree, as deep as the ocean and as yummy as the creamiest chocolate-mint ice cream.

As you read Ncumisa’s contestant info, you might notice some greenish rays being emitted from your computer screen. Please do not be alarmed. These are merely subliminal signals telling you that you must love Ncumisa. Get that? You Must Love Ncumisssaaaa!

Far be it from me to rain on the lovefest. She could be terribly cloying or she could turn out to be South Africa’s sweetheart. Who knows?

Two things that do make me like her, apart from the obvious “you must love her” bits I mean: She also has an interesting and somewhat unusual list of favourites that set her apart.

The other thing is that she says she’d like to say she’d miss her family and friends the most but she’d really miss lip balm the most. Hee. There’s someone who has her priorities straight. Everyone always acts like not seeing their families for a measly month is such torture which it isn’t. It’s barely anything. But not having lip-ice for that amount of time? That is seriously a bitch
