Bobby Jon Drinkard is a farmer was once voted Alabama’s most eligible bachelor and this sounds totally familiar. It appears that whoever is responsible for these Survivor bios has used the exact same bio for Bobby Jon as for Palau. They didn’t even add in an extra line like “Was in Survivor Palau and looked like Jesus”.
Since there’s not really any new info to write up on Bobby Jon, I’m just going to use the bio write-up I did on him last season so you can laugh at how wrong I was about him.
Hey, if the official bio writers aren’t trying, then why should I?
Bobby Jon’s surname is Drinkard. Heh heh, if he gets smashed on booze, we’ll have a ready-made nickname for him. In case the dimples weren’t enough of a clue, Bobby Jon is a model and this season’s designated pretty-boy eye candy. [Present Me: This is especially true this season where all the guys are freaky-looking. Although the dimples aren't as apparent in this bio picture.]
Unfortunately reading his bio just ruins the pretty. In hobbies alone, he is a true Bobby Jon, as he likes hunting and reading the bible. Oh no, he’s probably going to be moralistic. Not because one of his hobbies is reading the bible, but because he describes himself as righteous. It’s too easy for a ‘self’ to slot into place in front of that ‘righteous’.
Bobby Jon actually turned out to be hard-working, sweet, loyal and lovably earnest. He was a nice, decent guy who never flaunted his superiority over anyone and always treated everyone with total respect. Trees cowered in his path. Coconuts screamed for their mommy. And he looked like Jesus. He’s Awesome Jesus Guy.
Knowing how reality contestants hate people who have already had their shot at winning a reality show (Hi, everybody from TAR7. Say hi to Rob from me), it would appear that Bobby Jon doesn't have much of a chance.
But actually I think his chances aren't horrible. With his hard-working nature, all-out attitude at challenges and friendly nature, he'll be an invaluable member of his tribe. He came across as rather guileless in his season so no-one's going to consider him a strategic threat. The way he came across in his previous Survivor could prove to be more of a positive than a negative.
