Two new faces join Muvhango soon. Former Miss SA Teen, TV presenter and actress
Phuti Khomo arrives on the scene next Wednesday, 21 March and singer and actress
Lucia Mthiyane arrives on Tuesday, 3 April.
Phuti will be playing the role of fashion designer Carol Chabeli, the wife of Njabulo Chabeli, played by newcomer Gabriel Mini.
Lucia will be playing Selinah Mdluli, mother to Mukwevho Holdings receptionist Pearl, played by Jo-Anne Reyneke.
Phuti made her acting debut on Generations in 2001 in the cameo role of Ginger and went on to win the title of Miss SA Teen in 2002. Winning the crown led to her first presenting job on the SABC1's One, which later became LIVE.
In 2007 she hosted the music gossip show Ripped on e.tv and in 2011 she co-hosted the M-Net Series dating reality show Rivals in Romance, alongside Jonaid Carrera.
Her other television roles include Bali on Egoli and Phaphama on Mtunzini.com, where she took over from KB Motsilanyane when KB moved to Rhythm City.
Lucia is best known to TV audiences for her role as Rachel Phakathi on Rhythm City. In addition to being an actress and singer, she's also a chef, model and entrepeneur.
She's performed in musicals, theatre productions and television series and has done TV presenting and corporate work. Other TV series she's been in include Soul Buddyz, Backstage, Mzansi, Generations and Flat 27.
An ex-school teacher, Lucia has sung for ex-President Nelson Mandela, ex-President Thabo Mbheki as well as the President of Indonesia on his presidential visit to South Africa.
